Friendly, family run, clean and tidy. Quiet little village in beautiful wooded valley near interesting and historic Basilique de Thierenbach. Owners have been there 30 years. Restaurant has exceptionally good food. Comfortable bedroom, slightly kitsch, nice size bathroom with window and jacuzzi.

Relaxing

This is a hotel restaurant near the Route des Vin, the Grand Ballon and Our Lady of Thierenbach pilgrimage church.  We had a good size room, nicely decorated with a new bathroom with soaking tub and walk-in shower.  We were served freshly pressed orange juice and fresh baguette for breakfast. The restaurant is well rated but was closed when we stayed there.

Lovely Hotel, great location

We passed two lovely nights here - and dined in the restaurant on one of them.  It was off season so we the hotel wasn't full.  Our hosts couldn't have been kinder or more helpful.  Simone runs the front of house and speaks good English.  Her husband is the chef and kept in the background because he has little English although he was very friendly and patient when I practiced my terrible French!  Our dinner was really good - very rich traditional food with excellent sauces.  Simone was very patient to explain items on the menu to us.  Our room was compact, comfortable and spotlessly clean and we enjoyed peaceful sleep. Recommended if you are staying in the southern part of the Route des Vins.

Quaint little family run hotel and restaurant

I loved this hotel.  It is small, totally quaint and the owners are marvelous! They have a "summer garden" in the back where we ate our dinners and breakfasts which was not only beautiful but cozy and welcoming.  Imagine, hot croissants and pastries out in the sun with a delicious cup of hot coffee, yoghurt and crispy french bread with jam and butter. Heaven!  We ate our dinner there a couple of different times and each meal was fantastic.  Simone's husband is a great chef!  
The room was large and comfortable with all the amenities.

Dynamite family run business

We were only persons in hotel this night. It was last minute booking late afternoon. Despite this we got very warm welcome, nice room and amazing breakfast. Room hat romantic touch, so best for couples, huge TV (for whatever reason) and good bathroom

Great place for romantic stay

I love this hotel. The setting in the Vosges is ideal for walking or just driving along La Route des Vins or visiting La Grande Ballon or Le Markstein. The hotel is beautiful with lovely gardens both at the back of the hotel and at the front where you can eat or just have a glass of the local wine. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the staff delightful. We will return next September.
