Every bit as romantic and idyllic as I was hoping. Gorgeous restored villa in belle epoch Dinard. 5 minutes from the beach and local shops, and 2 minutes from a bus stop.
Spotlessly clean, modern shower, INCREDIBLY comfortable bed (best bed and pillows my entire holiday!) and beautiful and thought French decor.
Raphael is a super gracious host. Full of excellent local recommendations, and highly attentive and responsive to the needs of guests. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you again!

Idyllic holiday !

Large rooms, friendly staff, just in centertown of Dinard.  A dozen of restaurants at walking distance. 

The Bar and Breakfast area enjoy very peculiar wooden ceilings, from the golden age of "bains de mer" villas of end of nineteenth century. (Deauville, Biarritz and Dinard).

Excellent value!  Affordable price in an historical villa built in 1890 - 200 meters from Grand Plage

Lovely hotel, a ten minutes walk from the beach of Dinard. The owners are very friendly and helpful, they gave us some great restaurant suggestions. Loved the fact that the hotel is situated in a beautiful historical building. Always nice to stay in a place that has an interesting background. 

Our room was clean and spacious and the douche in the bathroom was brand new. Loved the fact that the cabin closed very well, no water on the floor after taking a shower! The view from our room wasn't much to speak off, but we both both very well.

Breakfast was very basic: no cooked options, only bread, packaged cheese, hard boiled egss, yoghurt and some jams. But for the price we payed for our stay, we could hardly complain about that.

During our stay we enjoyed having an aperitif outside in the front yard.

This hotel offers good value for money.

The décor and furniture is mostly beautiful antiques , however the rooms are very well kept , recently refurbished (by the looks of it) ,and extremely clean !! the breakfast was fresh and served in the lovely old sitting room

Beautiful place

Old hotel in the heart of Dinard. We were very enthousiastically welcomed by the owner. He gave us some good information on the town and the what-to-do's in the short stay that we had here. The hotel is very centrally located in the town. 
The room was big, had its own bathroom and was better than you would expect from a 2-star. Tidy and clean. 
Breakfast is complete. 
Atmosphere of the hotel is very 'sympa' as the French would say. It's an old building with a lot of history in it. Very nice to see.
Would return, hotel is worth more than 2 stars

Good 2-star hotel

I stayed for a night at Hotel Altair as the final stop over of my cycling tour from Biarritz to St Malo. The hotel was built around 1890 and still retains much of the original character that one would hope for. It is full of French charm and mixes the present with the past perfectly and oozes French character.  The hotel is perfectly situated for the beaches and restaurants. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner, who is very helpful and will go out of his way to make sure you have a wonderful stay.  The room was large with En suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the street.  The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.  Breakfast was served in the dinning room - a typical French breakfast with more than enough to eat from the buffet.   I absolutely loved this hotel and it was my favourite of the 10 hotels I stayed at during my tour.   As always it is the personal service and the warm welcome that always makes for a good stay.  I will be returning with my wife next time!   

A lovely visit to a wonderful hotel

We were made most welcome on arrival to this French style hotel. Our room was clean, fresh, comfortable and quiet with modern facilities. The location provided an easy walk to the facilities that Dinard offers and to the ferry for St Malo if you have time. French style breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We felt the hotel was good value for Dinard and would definitely stay here again.

A quiet stay with a real feel of France

I last stayed in this hotel as a child.  It is under new management and sadly these days no longer has a restaurant.  However the public rooms downstairs - bar area, breakfast room and reception and sitting area are straight out of Agatha Christie- beautiful panelled walls, chesterfield sofas.  Our room ( a deluxe) had a balcony, was very nicely decorated.  Our bathroom must have been the original bathroom for a number of rooms- loved they had kept the door on the landing to it, although in the bathroom itself it was clearly hidden behind a new wall (which was good ).  Owner was charming and very helpful.  He recommended a good option for the evening meal just a couple of hundred metres away.  We did not have breakfast as we had to leave early.  Found nearby free parking on the street.
