I stayed in Apartment No 2 in Gambetta Square in Cannes for a business conference, very central, overlooking a lovely local market. The apartment is owned by Valerie and Pascal who run the Hotel Athenee nearby. They are fantastic hosts, very kind and generous. The breakfasts at the Hotel Athenee are excellent, very French as you would expect, with lovely coffee. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one ensuite with a great shower, the other with its own separate bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the apartment is very clean and well equipped. There is a Carrefour supermarket about 60 metres down the road and next to that is a wonderful boulangerie and patisserie with baguettes for 1 Euro and lovely filled baguettes (NB, closed on a Monday). The beach is about 7 minutes away on foot, very easy to get to. I loved this place and if you love Italian food you are spoiled for choice (great French bistros of course as well).
