A cute place, a nice room with comfy beds and a really friendly staff.

But really, really, really noisy.

We had a room on the garden side, so on the plus side, we hardly heard the traffic noise.

But outside our window was a trampoline and one family stayed under our window for over three hours. The noise was just deafening. We couldn’t keep the windows open even though it was hot in the room. We couldn’t nap and we couldn’t concentrate to read. I had to make my phone calls outside. Generally we just tried to stay out of our room (of which we did pay for….).

And after they got tired of being outside, they parked next to our door in the cafe, shouting and screaming there.

So a tiny wish for Amalia and all the hotelkeepers: please mention the location of the room in its description. We would have loved Amalia if we would have had even a minute of peace. But because our room was situated by the trampoline and the cafe, we literally didn’t hear our own thoughts for the whole visit. We’re nervewracked.

(Of course most of the guests are polite and quiet, and we really just had really bad luck. But still we would have preferred a room elsewhere, if we only had known.)

Very noisy

Very nice place to stay. Room was just renovated and clean. Breakfast is excellent. The yard is great if you have small children and setting is beautiful. The bathrooms are shared which is not ideal. Also as the building is old and staff is working late (can't really complain about that), there is noise in rooms until ~22. Lemland is beautiful and this place offers good value.

Very good value and nice rooms and breakfast

We stayed with my husband for one night during our cyclingtrip in Åland. Amalias bed&breakfast was really cozy place to stay. Loved to see family of cows from our window!

Breakfast was nice and staff smiling and helpful. Would stay again! ☺️

Adorable place to stay

If you fancy the very nice soda lemonades, served across different cafes on Åland, with flavors like “rhubarb-elder flower”, “strawberry-lime”, “raspberry” or the Swedish “sockerdricka”, don’t miss to visit this factory and shop, where it is actually produced.

A very cosy, comfortable and nice guesthouse is located about 20 min from the city center of Mariehamn by car. Peaceful place, nice rooms and comfortable beds. All rooms are different. Breakfast is good and includes local products, such as tasty all natural apple juice. Charming lemonade factory is on the property and it was also worth a visit. The only thing that bothered us was the heat. It was a very hot day and the room was super warm. There was only a minifan in the room and that didn't help us. 

Charming guesthouse Amalia

Lovely place with clean rooms and excellent breakfast. You can even get it gluten free if you ask for the staff day before your visit. Rooms were small but perfect size for a one night stay. There were shared bathrooms but they were really clean! Totally recommended! And there's Amalias lemonadefactory nextdoor which is nice too!

One night stay

I've stayed here twice and loved it both times (obviously since I decided to come back)! The rooms are so cute, all decorated with their own colors and style. The family that runs the place are so welcoming and helped me out a lot while staying there. It's located with cows literally just outside the window! It was such a nice and relaxing setting and the breakfast was amazing. Will definitely choose this place again when going back to Åland!

Highly recommend this cute place!

Lovely bed and breakfast. Staff speaks very good english. Rooms are really nice and it feels  like you are back in the different century. Beds are very good to sleep. Toilets are clean. Breakfast is serving local foods. They even have a hairdyers in shower rooms. We would recommend this to stay.
