This is the second time I’ve stayed here. This stay was for 3 weeks. Once again, I had an amazing stay! The owner Ana is great! She went out of her way to make our stay incredible! Great AC, super clean rooms, and a very comfortable bed! Ana also makes the best breakfast! I will stay here again for sure! No need to look anywhere else! 

Ana also made sure we were aware of all of the documents we would need for Covid. She was also very prompt in completing her part of the forms and emailing them to us.

Another great stay at Galápagos Best!

This was my first time in Galapagos and if I go back, I won’t stay anywhere else! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and  AC was amazing! Not to mention Ana, the owner is very sweet! 

We went diving on many of the mornings we were there and Ana went out of here way to make us an amazing breakfast in the morning before we left!  Had an amazing experience staying here! 

I will 100% be staying at Galapagos Best Hostel when I come back!

We really liked this hostel. The room for 3 people was a great size and included simple cooking facilities in the room. The staff on check in were really helpful and gave us lots of advice. Clean room with a great shower. 

The WiFi was temperamental but that’s expected on the Galápagos.

Fab hostel

I was hosted in this hostel for 2 nights.
Pro : good bedrooms, breakfast included.
Con : too far away from the rest (shops, Darwin center, sea)
The pros listed in the description (air conditioner etc.) are the same in hostels closer to he center.
I recommend to go to other hostels closer to the centers, going back and forth from the hostel to the interesting places under the hard sun with no shadows is not funny.

Fine, but too far away

Is really far from the port. Hard to find. I called then and the staff don‘t helped me at all, so i wanted to cancel it but they charged me the night. Never happend to me the last 5years travel arround the world. 

NEVER AGAIN

The place is well ran and has good infrastructure. It’s clean and quiet. Nonetheless, it’s a little far from the port and supermarket or ATMs  (about 1,5 Km or 1 mile) and you can find one person bed in private rooms for the same price in the city “center”.

+ clean room+ spacious room+ good shower+ free drinking water+ - far from center, tho in a quiet area- not a very welcoming check-in experience, or very friendly feeling during our stay- internet sometimes hangs- ants in sugar, cats running around in breakfast area/kitchen, moldy tea (due to humid climate)

Just okay...

The rooms were great. They were very clean and maintained. The sheets were changed daily and beds were made. The host is extremely friendly and very helpful in giving recommendations for activities, restaurants, stores, grocery stores, ATMS etc.

Perfect stay

Nothing negative about the tripleroom. Big and spacious, cleaned daily and well working kitchenette. The organisation however leaves a lot to wish for. We were welcomed by who we think was the owners daughter, given no info about breakfast etc. We got down the second morning and asked for the included breakfast which was clearly advertised on hotels.com. The person who we think was the owner simply said she was busy and therefore we couldn't have it that day. She later said that breakfast was from 7-8 am. Breakfast was really good and tasty. A man who we later learned was calldd Miguel and was the owners friend charged us for our stay but seemed to fail to communicate it further as we got the question if we had paid again and then they claimed we had only paid about half of the total sum due which was really weird. Miguel was kind of childish and weird. One morning when we sat down and had breakfast he disrespectfully said to my vegetarian friend "Just so you know, plants have feelings too." And also he said he sols snorkling tours to pinzon island which cost 120$ but he could sell them to us for 115$. We booked the tout at 110$ with another agency and when I told him that the same night he said (mockingly) "I told you I could sell it to you for 80$" which was a downright lie and a really weird thing to say, especially from someone who worked at the hostel. Also the wifi doesn't work at all in the room and is extremely slow even in the lobby.
