Delicious food, great service, nice young staff team always helpful and smiling. Nice room and location of the hotel is perfect, with view against harbour and close to shopping area. We give them our best recommendations

Fantastiske rammer til et weekendophold

The hotel is located near the harbour in Assens. Our first impression was good. Friendly  staff at check in. Nice lobby. But the room we got was under average. Very small double bed. There were large stains on the carpet and on the sofa in the room. We stayed for two nights and had both breakfast and dinner. Excellent food, and very nice staff. I you want to stay for more than one night, go for a room with seaview.

Average hotel.

This is a good place to stay near the harbour at town center. Rooms are clean but basic and the double bed was up against the wall on two sides making it a bit difficult to get in and out of. It has a very good restaurant and breakfast was good.

Very good deal to stay at Marcussens

The reception staff was unhelpful and borderline rude , the woman on the reception appeared to be serving meals , drinks and attending customers , however no service awareness at all . We arrived at 14.30 and needed to get changed for a wedding , however no facility for this was offered . This hotel is the only in the town so no competition at all , which might be the reason why this hotel is still trading , they need to retrain front of house staff, how to meet and greet customers , as well as sorting out their staffing issues . The hotel is placed near the city centre, and harbour. Good location. Small city with not too much to see during off-season. Hotel is probably the best in town, but average compared to those in bigger cities. Hotel and rooms are a bit dated and worn, but clean. We bought a deal trip and was upgraded to a large seaview room at no additional cost. The door to the hallway was not very soundproof, but the hotel was quite silent during the night, and we slept well. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is attached to the the hotel, and we had both dinner and breakfast included in our deal. The food was good, and probably the best in town. However, compared to restaurants in bigger cities, Roulv is average in both food and service.
Most visitors were deal-customers, which was no problem. However, all visitors seemed to be 60+, which seems to be the target age for the hotel.
In general we had a good stay and felt welcome, with good food both mornings and evenings. Especially for the price we paid in our 2 night deal. For our next trip we will probably spend a bit more and go to a newer hotel in a bigger city. 

Good deal-stay

Not a business hotel at all. Not a comfortable hotel. Rooms are small and modest. The same applies for the shower. I had no dinner; breakfast was ok. In private I would not book it also. However, it is close to the docks.

Assens is a small town that we enjoyed walking around.  Very safe. Nice shops, bakery and small cafes.  Italian restaurant near hotel is very good.

Hotel in our favorite small Danish town.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Strange opening hours for the restaurant, but otherwise fine.
