A wonderful local place with a daily special that is fantastic … I had lamb  one night , octopus another .. to
Tonight barbecue ribs .. delicious we will be back .. Even the pizza is yummy.  The salads are huge and great too. The potatoes are crispy and very good.  The service is perfect and the place is pretty and right by the sea.  Before or after or both enjoy a cocktail on the terrace .. some nights they have music .

We are locals to this place in summer . Prior years food was ok , but they upgraded it quite a bit . We went twice this week ..octopus salad fish soup beef soup schnitzel branzino all delicious. Will go back prices are also very good and it is on the sea ..
Sometimes they have music .. They also have a great bar for any type of drink

My go to place ..always a great meal

Dinner with a view 

We were on a holiday in the Hotel Riviera in August 2010. That was our second time there. It is located next to the pebbled beach. But the hotel is about 3 km far from the center of Crikvenica. And there are hardly any good souvenir shops near the hotel. Only some stalls.
The hotel has a main building and 3 depandances behind it. I recommend  the main building, but there's not som much room, so you have to book it in time, You can make your reservation by yourself via e-mail without prepay.
The price of the hotel is the best in the surroundings. The rooms are simple with beds and a bathrooom and a balcony. The room doesn't have air condition, minibar, tv. The staff is friendly and helpful, they speak english, and german as well. We had a small problem with the electricity, but they fix it immediately. The rooms are daily cleaned, and they changing the towels too.
We stayed with half board service and the meals were delicious. But the drinks are not included in the half board or full board services. The breakfast is the same every morning, but there are plenty of foods. Cheeses, hams, omlette, jams...etc. You can have fresh milk, coffe, tea as well.
There's a bar standing before the hotel, with a very nice view on the sea.

I recommend this hotel for young couples, and for the youth. If you can't stand the lack of air condition, this is not your place. Altogether we had a great time there.

Nice Holiday, definately two stars

The dependance rooms do not have airco, that's a big problem in the summer in croatia. The cleaning staff was not friendly, i wanted fresh towels every day or every other day but the cleaning lady told me the towels we're only supposed to be changed every 4 days. Somdon't expect your room to be cleaned. Later I overheard her telling the receptionist that 'this isn't the hilton hotel and telling her my room number'. The food is ok and the kitchen staff (and the cafe staff) is the only friendly staff in the hotel, the rest of them look like they don't want to be there. The location however is great and it's the only good thing. 
There is also a restaurant (a la carte, not the restaurant that is included in the full or halfpension to be clear) the food is ok but the waiter is horrible, i just asked for some ice with my water en he asked my why.. And said my water was already cold and walked away. He also got my order wrong (1 of 3 orders, i guess it was too much to remember) and when i asked for the right order he first described how this would also be ok for me, i had to say 10 times i just wanted the thing i ordered and not this. So If you are looking for a good location and ok food in the morning and evening.. This is fine, but i would not reccomend it. There are a lot other appartments and hotels in the area.
