I really liked Osa Túcan. The room was clean, had a private bathroom and a (well-equipped!) kitchen and even A/C. It's "downstairs" from the main street which means you don't have a view - but it also means you feel like you're in the middle of nature while being only a few minutes walk from supermarkets, restaurants etc. For me, that more than made up for it. Staff was also very friendly (Alexandra, thanks so much for your kindness on a rough day!). The only room for improvement I see is that there was a bit of mould in the bathroom, but that is probably hard to avoid in this climate. All in all the place is great value for money and I absolutely recommend it.

Really nice place, great value for money

We spent two nights here with 2 kids, ages 11 and 8. Finding the actual location was tricky at first but once we got there, the room was clean and beds comfortable. Our stay was divided by one night in Corcavado National Park and the owner was kind enough to let us leave our luggage so we didn't have to pack everything back in the car. We didn't realize the rooms didn't have AC when we booked but it turned out to not be an issue - we were cool enough at night with the fans provided, even in July. 

Great Value

Henar  the owner was lovely and very helpful.  Excellent value, nicely decorated rooms.  Quiet with pleasant garden.

This was a great room in Drake Bay, we booked all our tours and onward travel with the owner too which was very convenient. The room was cleaned regularly with fresh towels, the shower was actually properly hot!!! We loved the hammocks. Great value too!

Clean room, hammock, info, tours

Hadra,the manager, was super helpful. The beds and pillows were awesome.  The facilities were new and shower beautiful   The only obstacle were the stairs onto Main Street of Drake but there is an alternate route that brings you to a side street   It’s fairly new so they lack signage so be sure you have their phone number

Beautiful new hotel

Osa Tucan is the perfect place to stay in Drake Bay. It's quiet, clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable and it's walking distance to everything that you'd want to do. The prices are also very reasonable, the staff are incredibly friendly and can help with just about anything. I was honestly very pleased with our stay and I'd highly recommend Osa Tucan for your next trip to Agujitas.

Perfect Place to Stay in Drake Bay

The rooms (20$ with private bathroom) are clean, with huge comfortable beds and fan. Outside there are hammocks to relax, chairs and tables. There isn't really a common area so it would be difficult to meet other travellers, but if you're only looking for a place to sleep it's amazing value. The only downsides are the fact that there's no kitchen and the loud bar on the road above the hostel that forces to keep the windows closed at night. Even considering this, the price was incredible for Drake Bay (or Costa Rica in general)! 

100% value for money 

This small place is cozy, clean and their breakfast awesome. Please keep in mind the road to Drake is not paved and a small car won't make it thru the small brooks or the dirt roads. You must drive a 4 wheel drive, pick up or truck to get here, but you also can leave your car in Sierpe and take the river boat to Drake.

Paradise

The photos are quite deceiving as the rooms are very basic, cement floor, old cement wash stand.  Mounted fan and floor fan provided some air flow but couldn't have window open due to bar situated just above this hotel.
Stairway/path from road down to rooms not lit at night and quite dangerous.
Hostess was extremely nice and they picked us up at the water taxi, made the arrangements and also arranged for our tour of park.  The room is clean and beds well prepared - comfy mattress and pillows (memory foam).
The price was right and the room was clean, shower was nice as well.
