everything was perfect for me.  I enjoyed the tranquility, the silence, because I am a writer.  It was often warm ''caliente''outside, well, I have used only one climatization.  It was enough. The view was fantastic.  I would suggest to have screen in the windoes

We were surprised by the nice view in the first morning when we opened the blinds. The rooftop balcony is incredible. The moon and the stars over the ocean are over the top.  It is also easy access to everything Las Palmas has to offer and the beach. We saw monkeys at dusk on the pass to the beach many times. One thing though, in order to get this view in the unit, you do have to walk a lot of stairs up.  This is the second time we stayed at Coco's Sunset Hill. This one is far better being on the top floor. Highly recommend if you can get the top floor unit. We loved our stay. 

This place is not located exactly nearby the main restaurants nor bars but that gives this place a really nice and quiet place to stay.The place is very well equipped and security is something you shouldn't have to worry about.

Amazing stay we love the incredible roof top ocean view .. along with balcony off the master bedroom. Everyone was nice and helpful .. we felt safe in the property especially with 24 hr guard who greeted us every time we came thru the gate . 

Awesome place to stay, near the downtown, very accesible and secure. The room was very clean and fully equiped, including a nice terrace with full ocean and sunset view. Customer sevice could be better, national tourists should be treated equally as the foreigners. 

We visited this place for our anniversary and wanted to really get the feel of the culture and not stay at the ritzy resorts. So we rented a suv which would have been cheap but the insurance was the same price the rental was and that was at the middle level, that was offered. But any hoo...  The staff is friendly and there at normal business hours for you! The place overall conditions are not the best but are good for the price, some units have no hot water some do. The wifi only works at one pool that is by the gravel lot, not inside or at every pool, so you will be sitting outside checking email or doing any sort of business affairs which includes talking on the phone by wifi. We did check out other places similar to this one, but wasn't as nice with no pools. The place was about two blocks from Coco Beach, which the Beach has volcanic sand, and has a lot of nature debris on it, and it is pitch black at night. If you are a walker, it is about 20 minutes to walk to the main strip of CoCo where all the bars and restaurants are located. 
The place has good security and we felt secure, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about because they do walk the premises and there is a gate guard on the front gate.
I am partially disabled to walking, so if you have in your party someone who has issues walking or going up steps and hills, this is NOT the place for you.  The parking is at an angle and there are about 4 to 5 steps on the first level and 2 flights for the second level and Lord knows how many on the 3rd floor apartment.

Good hotel and Good Experience

We stayded 4 nights. Room was clean and nice. There is kithcen and enough room for two. Cheap laundry.
Downside the wifi was very bad. Water didint run too good. No restauraunt. And for this price I would have expected better. A lot of security.

Good but expencive

Our family of 3 stayed at Tropical Gardens for a total of 10 days over the Christmas Holidays.  We were expecting a fabulous vacation, but had one problem after another.  Despite that there is a small swimming pool, and we were close to the beach, we were only given 3 towels until we got our linen change about 7 days later.  Even if we wanted to go pick towels up from the office (located far away, and not walking distance), they would not give us clean linen.  The refrigerator leaked with water covering the kitchen floor, and there was no emergency number after hours, and had to wait until the next day.  This happened twice, and we had to use our valuable linen to hold back the water.
