Xunlu Hostel

A fabulous two nights of exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The proprietor also runs a private ranch back toward Halunbui’er that we didn’t get to visit this trip. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and recommended a horse riding shoe of traditional Mongolian riding - it was awesome! We are half way through a 24-day cycle tour through Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia with our two kids, 2 and 4 yo. The staff here have been kind, friendly and respectful to our kids, not something we’ve been find at all places we’ve stayed. Great place for families and just far enough removed from the tourist hordes and big hotels that we didn’t get hassled but domestic tourists. We were walked over to the best bike shop in town to repair some broken spikes and we have generally felt spoilt but these guys. Rooms and facilities are clean and typical of youth hostels, no complaints there. We made use of the washing machines and clothes line to set ourselves up for our next leg of our journey. And they have PROPER COFFEE!!!
