Good location in the center of the small town. 
Good size room with good facilities. Humidifier on request.
Got function/ball room and a lounge.
Service is very local, but friendly and good.
Many restaurants in the same area.

We were booked into this hotel by the company we were visiting for 4 days. They are undertaking a massive 500 million $ antibiotic fermentation project and often have visitors that they book this hotel for, and they claim it is the best in Yakeshi, a small city in the N of Inner Mongolia. I believe them as I went by the other 5 which were more or less 2-3 star.  Yakeshi is not a tourist destination, so it is not widely advertised. 

Check in was smooth enough with one staff with some basic English phrases, and the large room on the 4th level surprisingly well equipped and furnished, solid wood furniture and large bed, good sized bathroom with good shower and plenty of hot water.The discount room rate was less than 300 RMB which was a bargain.

Housekeeping a bit of a mixture, eg 2 bottles water supplied the 1st day, then none except for the minibar but there are plenty of small shops around that sell water. Also 2 teabags for the 1st day then none. 

No English language subtext on anything so you will have to guess what the TV and A/C controls mean. ,

Breakfast was included and typical Chinese style breakfast buffet, you'll have to guess what the dishes are but there are eggs to order and lots of choice, I did not go hungry.

The hotel is surrounded by many small restaurants, including BBQ, and hot pot restaurants. Highly recommend one BBQ restaurant with a micro brewer beer - turn Right out of the hotel, then 1st Right, then 1st Left, then walk to the end of the street and it is on the R corner, up a flight of stairs, Great food, try the charcoal BBQ not the electric one.

Another meal we had was in the traditional market, turn Right out of the hotel, then 1st Right and keep going about 500m around a slight bend to the Right. You'll see a China Post on the opposite side but keep to the right. The traditional market is within the square, and there are 100s of stall holders and small BBQ stalls. 1st Left are the small eating places where you can get BBQ skewers of meat and veg, avoid the spices they put on. The will also let you bring a smoked roast duck that you can get further along for 18 RMB, deliciously tender but the skin was a bit salty, so eat it with a beer. 

We were there in late June, temperatures about 25C, but the warm weather is only 3 months here, then 9 months of freezing cold, down to -50C. Also the weather can go from glaring sun to rain in an hour. Lots of rain!! So very green but take your umbrella whenever yo go walking.
