Good rooms I booked normal room with hill view  ... rooms are compact and if you have hill view it's a bonus..

They don't provide water bottles but have water coolers on floors where you can refill your bottles..

This is one of best and value for money in Genting 

Good rooms

First I have to stay this hotel is full of people due to the park. The deluxe panoramic suite is well furnished and super spacious. One tv in the bed room and another in the living room. The balcony gives a direct view on the hot springs. The best thing about this room is the bathroom which is large and has basically everything even bubble soap for the bathtub. The decor is a little bit traditional but it's fine. It's better to book a room from the 5th and 6th floor they are quitter. 

I did have some issues with the lights constantly going off but then it got solved. The have an issue with turning the lights on and off once most of them are on a touch screen. The fact that they have only 2 elevators for guests rooms is really a pity. If you have the bad luck of being their during holiday periods you'll wast a lot of time queuing.

I had dinner at a Chinese restaurant under honestly... it was awful!!! I did see an Indian restaurant there I'll try it and modify my review.

So I stayed at the deluxe panoramic suite...

If you happened to check in to Tower 3 of the First World Hotel of Genting Highland, and are using the lifts during peak hours, then you will be in for a lousy experience out of head-bursting frustration. 

You can be standing at the warm lift lobby with bad ventilation and no window around for 40 minutes to an hour (even longer) watching the smart lifts talking to you but keep going passed or open with a full load of passengers. The lifts are not sufficient.

OK.  You are one of those who don't mind walking 10 or 15 levels down. Many guests did that and my family with 2 kids did the same. After the long walk down we were in for more frustration and got a shock. The door at the Ground level was locked!!!!! It's supposed to lead us to one side of the lift lobby. How could this emergency exit be locked?????? What happened to the regulations of the Fire Department? 

Some angry guests kicked and banged at the door. Finally someone walked by was alerted by the noise and informed a guard. With the door closed people inside and outside could hardly hear each other. There was a glass panel on the door. The guard signaled us to walk back up and use the lifts. 

Some guests kept banging the door insisted the guard to open the door. The guard then informed a hotel officer. He came but signaled the same and asked us to use the lifts. More banging and shouting. Finally he came with another officer some 10 minutes later and opened the door. 

If you are observant enough, you might find a notice at one of the walls that reads in case of emergency, you may break the glass to escape through the door. Simply breaking the glass subject one to a fine. How lovely. I  really wonder how many guests will see and find time to  read the notice during emergency and in panic. Some might not even understand the notice. 

This will be a DEAD TRAP during fire. No joke......

Tower 3 First World Hotel,Genting Highland 

Well equipped for hosting conferences & very family friendly. But, it's a bit of a hike from main attractions of Hangzhou like West Lakes area. All the same, if you don't mind s 10 minute walk the metro is not that far away. Downside is the bar doesn't really provide many options.

Conference venue

Some people might like this place, but I had problems trying to grasp the concept. It might be due to the low season, but this place is far from the place it pretends to be. The surrounding theme parks were closed, and allmost all guests were conference participants. The hotel itself is a heavy construction worn around the edges. Looks like something retired that a new owner tries to bring back to life. Not my style of place. Staff was dressed like Indians (not the native American ones - their English is not good enough -, but the ones you see in cartoons), all with a feather in their hair. Really. Four or five restaurants not worth mentioning any details. Rooms were cozy and had something quirky, but as mentioned by previous reviewers, the electronic system for controlling the lights was far too complicated. Worst of all was the so-called tropical rain forest. What a joke. A collection of pathetic plants waiting to die.
Perhaps I am exaggerating, or I have come on a bad moment, but really, no, thank you. But see for yourselves: you might perhaps like it. Just let me know if you disagree ...
