Hare Natura

I had almost a week to spend on Rapa Nui and wanted to make the most of it. My host at Hare Natura took care of everything: from airport pickup to drop-off, and everything in between. The cottage is a stand-alone unit and gave me that wonderful feeling of being a local, not merely a guest in a hotel. The first thing I noticed were fresh flowers throughout the space and the expertly decorated interiors using many natural elements. The bed wis super comfy with a closet for hanging clothes. The adjoining bathroom is modern and clean (hot water without a fuss -- this being an island, that's not so at every lodging!). The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed to cook your own meals (well, barring groceries!), even a nice selection of spices on hand. There are windows everywhere in the unit bringing in the fresh island breezes. I needed to work remotely part of the time I was there, and the wifi access helped immensely. I could work at the table with lovely breezes and garden views and watch the chickens roaming the yard. Even though the unit is next to the host's home and a second unit, the host designed this to feel very private. For sight-seeing, the host gave excellent recommendations, and I was able to rent a car suitable for driving around the island directly from her (highly recommend this!). I had also hoped to meet some local islanders for my work, and she personally took me around and made introductions. She speaks excellent English, Spanish and French, so communication was oh-so-easy! I really want to go back and explore this island a little more thoroughly, and when I do, I plan to book at Hare Natura right away!
