The owner, Alicinda, will do anything she can to make you happy visiting Sao Antao. She speaks some french.
She can book taxis, restaurants, or prepare a sandwitch for lunch.....
Rooms are big, clean and quiet at a reasonable cost.
WiFi is available in the kitchen and in its vicinity.
Breakfast is included.

Good place for a comfortable stay

My girlfriend and I stayed at this guesthouse for two nights in November and we were impressed by the size of the room, the location and, in particular, the hospitality of Alcinda who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was most comfortable. She even linked us up with other guests when we were looking to share a taxi up to Cova. Breakfast was wide ranging and delicious too. We recommend highly this guesthouse to anyone staying in Ponta do Sol. 

Great place and brilliant hospitality!

The residencial is located just outside the village, but only 5 minutes walking from the harbor. This is one of the cleanest hotels we've seen anywhere in the world, every nook and cranny seems to be polished. The room is large and the breakfast is good. The rates are very low. The only complaint I have is that the bed is short (1.90 meters) and a bit uncomfortable, as it is just a mattress on solid wood.

Cheap and clean

The front rooms (and this includes some of the cheaper rooms with shared bathroom) are large, airy with sea views. Good breakfast. 
But this new part of Ponta del Sol has ugly concrete urbanism. Personally, i much prefer the accomodation up in the ribeiras. If you hike the coastal trail to Cha de Igreja (quite hard due to the heat and sun), Cha de Igreja is an idyllic village with an excellent, cheaper residencial in its center with great food.

Nice large rooms with sea views

The Residencial is just a bit up from the main square and offers clean and big rooms.
The owner is really nice, gives good advice and really tries to make you enjoy your stay. The breakfast is also very good.
