My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway. What a wonderful surprise it was! The Deer Island Inn is a quaint, relaxing and inviting little jem.
Anke was the perfect hostess.
So friendly, knowledge about the island and cooked us a delicious breakfast!
We will definitely recommend this B&B to all our friends.
Already planning our next stay!

Weekend Surprise Getaway!

Stayed here while traveling through on a Kayaking trip.  This is a delightful, family-run inn on a beautiful little coastal island.  Room was comfortable and super clean.  Big old house with loads of charm.  Wonderful breakfast consisting of European style coffee from a French press, juice served in fluted glasses, and eggs Benedict served on fine china.  Also had fresh cut fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, etc.  Best breakfast on my 2-week trip.  Staying here was a great relief from the typical motel stay, and at a good price too!  Thanks Anka.

pleasantly surprised!

We stayed at Deer Island Inn for 2 nights and loved every minute of our stay. Anke and her family are wonderful! The Inn, our room, the food, (breakfast and dinner) could not have been better. We even had a great morning whale watching with Anke and the children that she arranged for us! We highly recommend and will stay again in the future when in the area.

Wonderful stay!

Wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the rooms. Hosts were very pleasant. Breakfast excellent.

Free coffee making facilities available and a communal fridge.

And it was pet friendly! Highly recommend

Delightful Guest House

We had never been to Deer Island or Campobello and decided to explore more of our own beautiful province. A last minute decision and a pup limited our options but Anke and the Inn were awesome. She was more than ok with us bringing our 5 month old pup. The Inn is conveniently located on the main road to and from both ferries. The room was spacious and breakfast was delicious. Monday evening we enjoyed Schnitzel and salad prepared by Anke and her sister. What a treat. We would definitely recommend the Deer Island Inn and are planning our next visit.

NB Day Getaway

My wife and I came up to stay at Deer Island Inn for our wedding anniversary. Due to some troubles we had to reschedule a few months out and ended up missing peak season but the experience was still amazing. Anke was so kind and make delicious breakfasts every morning we were there. She also gave us an overview of the island and what to see and where to go. Overall an excellent experience, we would be happy to return sometime.

Very cozy and well worth it

The Bed and Breakfast Location was perfect.. just what I expected. The place was homely inviting and relaxing. The cleanliness was top notch and the owner’s customer service was second to none. I pre ordered German supper and the food was good (main dish and salad) The price however for the meal, I thought was high but it was my fault as I did not ask for the price before I preordered supper, not important on the scheme of things as it was an enjoyable stay and would go there again. 
The owner even warned us about the rooster next door!

I can't believe this was pet friendly. So beautiful, with antiques and charm everywhere, I only wish we spent more time there.  It was actually an accident that we found the island but am so happy for this accident.  The inn-keeper was so nice and warm, and made our stay incredibly pleasant.  It was more like one of the better b&b's I've stayed in, on an Irish vacation, along with the breakfast part of the "b".  Book this place and enjoy the island before everyone finds out about it.
