We chose the Celtic Place B&B due to its pet-friendly accommodation and reviews about the comfortable mattresses.  We stayed in the Dogwood suite.  The highlight of the room was the giant patio with the view of the southern Gulf Islands and Mount Baker.  Breakfasts were amazing.  Our host, Peter, gave excellent recommendations for hikes and beaches to visit - things only a local would know! The shower is oddly small for the size of the bathroom... it's good to be thin!  The B&B is located at the top of a steep gravel road - best to leave your sports car at home.

Amazing breakfasts, tranquil mountaintop B&B

A 10min drive from Ganges uphill towards Mt.Maxwell Provincial Park, worth the views and gorgeous setting in a modern immaculate home.
We stayed in the Birch Suite, perfect for having our toddler sleeping in a separate room with double bed while we could enjoy the suite & deck with amazing views of the water and islands beyond. The only "complaint" (not really an issue if you don't have a toddler to bathe), is the unusually small shower considering the large ensuite. 
There is a playground and trampoline beside their chickens that kept our 3 yr old entertained when we were there.
Breakfasts were hearty and delicious with a kids' menu too. Owners very friendly and helpful.
The 4km drive to Mt.Maxwell for some family friendly hiking was also a great bonus with beautiful picnic lookouts. 
Would definitely stay again!

Gorgeous view, delicious breakfast, family friendly 

We had a fantastic time at Celtic Place and the view was spectacular. We stayed in the Cedar suite and it was very spacious and updated. The shower had lots of pressure which was a nice thing to have after a long day of hiking. The patio has the most amazing view of both the water and the forest. 
Peter and his wife were excellent hosts. Breakfast was very delicious, and because we were traveling with our 10 month old, they were very accommodating and delivered breakfast to our suite while our baby was still sleeping. 
Overall, our experience with Celtic was very positive. Watch out for deer when you drive up their long and steep driveway! 
We will definitely be back again!

A gem up the mountains

The approach to the house is quite steep, but the view from the large, private balcony is more than worth it: we could see Mt. Baker in the distance,and the sea below us.
:Peter, our host, was very welcoming and helpful , Elsje made spectacular breakfasts , and  the room was pleasant. The bed  was very comfortable and both days and nights utterly quiet- we slept very well. The house is surrounded by greenery , with wild rabbits and deer . Foxgloves in bloom line the driveway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Secluded, peaceful place.

Perched high upon a island mountain this location has spectacular views of surrounding islands and Vancouver lights at night. If you enjoy quiet you will love this place as the only noise you will hear is the wind in the trees. The breakfasts are delicious and the hosts are most accommodating.
