Motel de l'Anse & Camping Rimouski

We stayed 2 nights and really Enjoyed the view of the river. Most sites are back in, and the campground is on a large hill, but the sites are fairly level. The sites in the middle section is the viewing area of the river.  Washrooms are very clean.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We saw the most gorgeous sunset over the river. The facilities were convenient to our site and very clean. The hook ups worked fine. We had a brand new picnic table. We needed propane and they directed us to someone close.

This is an old-school motel with a camping ground. Our room was small, but it was clean and had a kitchenette. The staff was nice and let us charge our car on one of the camping spots. It was set a bit back from the road so noise wasn't a problem.

The motel was very good. The staff were friendly, the room was cozy, well cleaned. Wifi was ok, not the strongest. They had nice campfire and bbq amenities for the motel guests.

The place also had camping/tenting spots and if required you could book that instead of motel room. 
Nice place in Rimouski. They had their own trail map and you could begin trails from the motel, nice spot if you wanted a more relaxed visit in nature.

The room was good with a small kitchenette which was equipped with a stove and all the utensils necessary. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean although a bit on smaller side but it serves the purpose.

This is an odd place -- a motel combined with a campground.  The room was clean & had enough space for our things.  The bed was average comfortable.  No carpet.  There was a fridge (which froze a lot of the suff I put in it) & a coffee maker.  There was no hair dryer, iron, microwave.  Wi-if was the best we've encountered out of about 15 motels so far on this road trip.  Parking was free & adequate.  No breakfast.  Behind the motel, you could go walking up in the campground area.  The front desk people were helpful.  The cost was about $ 90 U.S.  Our average per night cost for motels so far is $ 79.  So, this motel is more expensive & has fewer amenities than most of our other motels.

Located just outside of town where it's quieter.  The motel rooms are older but have been updated. The room was a bit on the smaller side but clean and comfortable.  No air conditioning but they supply a fan and the window opens so you get a breeze. 

Staff is pleasant and can speak English.  We had a small problem with our tv and the owner came right away and fixed it. He was very nice and we ended up chatting for a bit.  

Bikers beware...the driveway and parking lot is very loose stone.  Not the easiest to manoeuvre in. 

We found this campground to be in good proximity to many attractions. The campsites are close together on the lower level, but are shaded. Perhaps a site in the upper zone would have a better view, however there is no shade for the larger trailers.

The Mini Farm was a unique touch to the campground! Decent amenities that are well maintained. We were surprised we were given a single key for the washrooms and that the showers had a fee. Overall it was a standard campground.

Creative Campground!

We stayed for two nights while traveling to Gaspe.  This campground is geared much more to motorhomes and trailers than to tent campers.  Our campsite was quite small and offered ZERO privacy from the neighbouring sites.  Access to our site was very tight for our medium sized car since rocks were very badly placed in the "driveway" area of our site.  
Due to the lack of privacy and the nearness of our neighbours we had some difficulty getting to sleep when we felt it was our bedtime.  Some of our neighbours obviously were nightowls and we heard talking and some music until the wee hours.
Washroom facilities were very clean and it was very obvious that COVID-19 had caused some adjustments to how the facilities were set up.  We were provided with a key to one of the two washrooms/shower areas near our site.  I would guess that these two washrooms are normally Male or Female but during COVID they are one family use at a time.  You go in using your key then deadbolt the door until you are done.  There were two toilet stalls, two showers, two sinks in each washroom area.  It worked well however you do have to wait until the people in front of you are done so it's not really convenient but it works and it seemed safe.
I don't think we would stay at the campsite again if in the Rimouski area.  The lack of privacy between tent campsites disappointed us.  Having said that, if you are traveling in a motorhome or a large trailer or fifth-wheel this could be the place for you.
