The room was clean and tidy, but what we liked the most was the view from the porch of the rooms, fantastic at night, they also have a fireplace outside and there are a lot of places to visit on the island.

Beautiful motel! My room was clean and comfortable, and came with everything I needed and more - TV, comfortable bed and blankets, towels, soap, etc. 
The staff were friendly and helpful, providing assistance when needed. There are plenty activities that help be busy like the e-bikes available to rent , mopeds and tours of the island.

Touring the island was such a wonderful experience and allowed me to see all the beautiful sites! Even the houses were beautiful to look at and ride by on the bikes.

Would definitely recommend staying here for a lovely, relaxing, and adventurous (if you choose) time :)

Amazing stay

The motel is quite old in term of facilities and equipments. I don’t understand the high rating. Bed not quite comfortable, air conditioning without on/off. Well water not drinkable, long delay before getting hot water from the shower. 12 inches TV, dirty bathroom and very small shower, floor not leveled and I can continue.

Very nice place! The room was pleasant and clean, the owner super friendly. We had a nice view on the island (especially nice during sunset)!

We rented regular, pedal bicycles in July.  The uphill portions are WAY too much for children + little room for bikes along the road.  Two our of bike chains popped, requiring maintenance in driveways, and the brakes were bad from steep downhills.  Not a fun day.  Definitely not worth the price of $57 Canadian.

Motel Ile D'Orleans Bike Rental - thumbs down

Quiet area, away from the city or crowd. However we can hear people walking from the upper level. We still had a good sleep. Easy checkin and checkout

This older motel was adequate and reasonably priced, but was dimly lit, a bit dingy, some paint peeling, had  crooked interior floors and sloping plywood external walkway to our upper room. Had a space heater (needed on a cool morning) available. Was clean and simple. Microwave at the office (not particularly handy), and adequate parking. The evening view from this hilltop location of the city of Quebec and of the sunset was wonderful. The location (Ile D'Orleans) is a beautiful and historic place with churches, cheese makers, wineries, shops of various kinds, fall foliage, a great observation tower, views of both channels of the St. Lawrence River. 

There was no staff at our early evening arrival and the key was to be in a "safe" for us to use (code provided)--there was no key. Calls to the motel went unanswered. We managed to find an employee parking bicycles who provided us access to the room and was able to give us a key, but the feeling of someone potentially walking in on us and the inconvenience was disconcerting. The operation of this motel needs to be sharper.

Has Some Good Points, But...

Check in was chaotic...no key left and office closed. Fortunate to locate a staff person who used master key and got us a key. Motel is getting run down but adequate.Views from motel of City of Quebec were awesome. Good location to tour Ile d'Orleans. Room lighting is less than adequate. Needed to use electric space heater.

Was good to be on the island. Close to Quebec. Was dark so had to figure how to get into rooms. 5 rooms booked…all names on little bulletin board. We figured it out

To arrive fron Quebec city we took a cab, is like 10 minutes,  the bridge between Orleans Island and mainland is under construction so might take 20 minutes more but is pretty accesible if you're looking for a neat, quiet scape to enjoy outdoors and local products straight from the producers.  The rooms were good, my friends had a big room equiped with microwave, table for 5  and a mini fridge, so we could enjoyed early and night meals together. There are single rooms as well with view to the fields and river from the deck. 
The proprietor received us, he's the most friendly person and the staff also were solicitous. The motel offer bike's tour or you could rent scooters to take your own trip around the Island; it seems that everyone just come for it and the staff have mastered the guiding  arts to provide you a fantastic Quebeoise experience. Definitely I'm coming back next summer
