We loved our stay at Cobble Wood Guest House. We spent three nights in the Golden Dawn suite and it had everything we could have needed for our stay. We were greeted by Ken who showed us to our apartment and spent some time answering our questions. His recommendations were really useful and we had some good meals out thanks to where he advised. The suite was cosy, clean and big enough to relax in. We would recommend to any couple staying in Tofino

3 days in Tofino

This is the 3rd time I've stayed in the Hummingbird Suite.  Great place to stay.  Quiet neighborhood.  The owner was very helpful with things to do in Tofino.  Great location to do activities in Tofino or head to the beaches.

Great place to stay.

Cobble Wood, is a great stay in Tofino!! Great location, walking distance to Mackenzie beach, tofino brewery/distillery, and the plaza. The heated floors in the washroom and entryway is a nice treat on a cold day 😍.  Great cottage feel nestled in the trees, with the bird feeders makes it great for bird watching. Definitely would stay here again!!  The self check in is great and we were able to start our vacation as soon as we arrived :). Thank you !!!

Vacation

We stayed for four nights. This inn is located in a quiet, private neighborhood, not too far from Tofino but far enough so that you could appreciate the privacy of the neighborhood. Excellent off road parking. Host was very nice and offered several excellent travel tips regarding hikes, beach info and restaurants to go to…and all of his advice was spot on! Comfortable bed. Somewhat small bathroom, especially the shower, but it was very clean and functional. Our suite had a small kitchenette with a refrig, toaster oven, toaster, microwave, a portable single burner induction stovetop, and a nice array of dishes and utensils. There was a two person breakfast bar in front of a big window that looked out onto the porch. There were two very comfy leather Scandinavian chairs along with a matching footstool that was really nice…you could look out the window at the porch while sitting next to a warming fake/electric fireplace. There was a bird feeder off the porch that attracted mostly doves and jays but also a quite cheeky young raccoon. A very pleasant stay.

Very nice place to stay

Modern, clean and comfortable. Windows and light everywhere. Full kitchen. Balcony. Friendly and helpful owner. Quiet area off the highway on a cul du sac, only neighbourhood traffic. Walking distance to beach, services, botanical garden, walking and hiking trails. Bird songs galour. 100% recommendation.

Perfect in every way.

I booked this place for a vacation with my fiance. We could not make it due to the highways in BC closing, but not only did they refuse to refund the deposit of $900 I could not get a human response from the place

Stayed for two nights with a good friend the second to last week of October in the Sandpiper Suite.  Very spacious, kitchen had everything we needed.   Staff was very friendly and let us know they were available if we had any questions at all.  Beds very very comfortable.  Very close to town, walking distance to Mackenzie Beach.  Great location!   Our only complaint was that we could hear a baby crying in the room next door in the middle of the night both nights - perhaps a bit more insulation in that one wall between the suites would be worth considering?  Only reason I gave 4 out of 5.

Lovely and Quiet Retreat

Nice clean place. Prices too high by around 80$ imo. No actual bird sanctuary exists there. They request you clean up and do your own dishes lol, then leave an envelope for a tip.

Pretty Nice but

We recently stayed at Cobble Wood with my son and wife for a particularly rainy--even by Tofino standards--three days in November. The upper level,  self-catering condo we stayed in was very comfortable, particularly well equipped, and unusually spacious. The property is nicely landscaped, but because of the grim weather we were unable to make use of the outdoor seating or barbecue area. It's situated in a residential area and our outlook was into cedars with houses visible through the trees. The woman who checked us in was lovely. She was quick to supply us with the few things we were missing, like dishtowels and dish cloths. We have been visiting Tofino for many years, and the only reason I'm not giving this a five-star review, is that it lacks the warm west-coast character and oceanfront location of the lodge where we usually stay.

Comfortable stay in the time of Covid

The self catering suite was clean with a super comfortable bed.  The deck had bird feeders so it was a delight to watch all the locals drop by.  Very quiet and convenient to beaches, restaurants etc.   However it is expensive.  Save money by booking outside of the main tourist season.
