It's a bit far from the action, I mean the crab market because it's quiet the only reason to come to Kep.
It could be convenient to take the boat to rabbit island, not so far from the pier although you need a tuk tuk anyway,  but I think it does not worth a visit ( the island) because they build a resort there and it's really spoiled.
For the room. It needs a fridge

The owner and staff are very nice, smiling and friendly. 
The food very good,  quality and cheap. 
Not easy to find but definitively worth it!

Very nice Nepalese food

Beautiful hotel with great owners. Delicious food, possibility to rent motorbikes, bikes...We had really nice clean room with balcony. I love this place!

It is little bit further from the "centre" but it was no problem.

Amazing place to stay

Having been to a wedding our original place fell through, so rang Kep Guest House at 12.30 am to book a room for 6. No problems what so ever. Basic room but suitable for us. Plenty of beds, fans, pillows, top blankets supplied. Toilet and shower downstairs. Small balcony over looking main rd and right next door to Kep Markets. Bit further out from Kep Beach but plenty of Tuk Tuk's around. Good Place to stay if you're a larger group needing a good price.

Great service

A room was booked through booking.com for International New Year as my hotel had no space. The owner turned up at my guest house at 10am on check in day to say the room was not available. He stated he had sent an email two days earlier but sadly I did not receive it. 
I was angry. However he was even angrier. I had to run away as I thought he would attack me. I was screaming no no no because I thought he was going to beat me up. I am a 51 year old man and have mild cerebral palsy so I tend to avoid physical conflict. Other residents asked him to calm down. He left suggesting I should book into a psychiatric hospital. A violent and aggressive man in my only dealings with him. 
I had visited the guest house earlier that morning and spoken to his wife who was charming and said see you later and invited me to try the Nepalese menu. 
No doubt when he reads this it will all be my fault. If you read the other one star reviews he doesn’t like to be criticised.

Aggression and fear

I had a good stay here. 
It is run by a French man and his Nepalese wife. It's a very relaxed place, in which I felt very comfortable. 
I stayed in the three bed dorm, yes it's nothing fancy, but it's a huge bed and perfect for a place to just relax for the night. 
Toilet is downstairs and separate, nothing fancy. But you get what you pay for. 
Despite the reviews, I really enjoyed staying here and I felt the owners were genuine. 
I would suggest staying here if you are prepared for it - it's not a 5 star hotel that you pay a lot of money for with great clean and perfect amenities, but it's a 5 star $5 guesthouse.

Very homely. 

I spent 4 amazing days in this guest house, the owners; Vincent, Usha and Latika surprised me because of their warm hospitality. It has a beautiful roof top with a beautiful sea view where you can hang out calmly. Food is excellent and beds really confortable, all this for good prices and an amazing service.
