Where to start.... The room was dirty, the food at the restaurant was awful, the pool bar is good. The second night I had to wait an hour for my food at the restaurant - unbelievable. The AC remote was missing in the room so I had to keep the balcony door open, which was pretty inconvenient as people outside were noisy even around 23:00. This hotel used to be a good one 6-7 years ago but this was definitely my last time here.

Amazing nature, perfect place to escape from the city and have a relaxing holiday. We spent 3 days in the hotel with the kids. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are really comfortable. The food is good. There is a playground for the small kids next to the dining area. Only one remark from us - the buffet is good, but they don’t either recharge it or they say the meals are finished when the time goes closer to the end of the meals time. So, if you want to enjoy all meals, you need to be in the restaurant at starting time of the breakfast and dinner. 
The pool is clean, the water has nice temperature. The pool bar is great. The staff is polite and friendly. 


Great place for family holiday

We spent a long weekend in July in Hotel Ostrova. The studio was spaceous and clean, with modern furniture. The terrace however was a bit tiny and no chairs/table are at guest's disposal which is strange considering the magnifiscent view and the pleasure of sitting there in a cool summer evening... 
The staff was very friendly. The main attraction is the huge pool! Unfortunately the hotel management has decided to let also people from outside. That made the pool on Sat and Sun a quite overcrowded and unpleasant spot - that's the main reason for my 4/5 rating. The food is good (though the products on breakfast should be of better quality), the yard is large enough for kids to run arounbd, there is a playground and even a small football field, everything is very well kept!

Very good hotel for a family holiday

We were there 3 couples in the end of April, and we spent the most relaxing 4 days. The rooms were very spacious with new or at least recent furnitures,clean with sofas and a TV.
What  I didn't like was that There was no cabin neither a curtain in our bathroom and there was no hairdryer and the towels are changed every 3 days. The temperature of the pool was supposed to be around 30 degrees but it was less. And in one of the rooms there was a cockroach which was not a problem for my friend but I would have gone crazy if it was in my room.
Most of the staff was very nice and friendly,the food was perfect, different everyday,delicious and warm . The hotel is surrounded by trees and it's seems like alll of your problems have disappeared I totally recommend it for families and couples who wants to escale from the everyday madness .

Wonderful place

We, two couples, went for a three day break at this hotel and it suited our needs perfectly. It was beautifully situated, inexpensive in May, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. I found it almost shocking to enter the drive of the hotel down a small track and find a luxury hotel at the end of it. The setting was wonderful and the hotel felt as if it was in the middle of the country. The rooms were twin bedded and more than adequate with TV, WiFi and either a wet room or a bathroom. There was unfortunately no air conditioning that I could see although we did not need it in May, no tea making facilities and no hair dryer although some toiletries were supplied. The outside pool was closed in May and so we used the indoor one which was never busy. The steam room was quite fierce and we couldn't stay in it long but the sauna was excellent. No additional towels are supplied so room towels must be used or take your own for the swimming pool but an airer was supplied on the balcony for drying costumes and towels. The service in the restaurant depends who is on duty. The first night the service was extremely poor and we were there for nearly 2 hours trying to get all three courses! The food was ok but of course it was stone cold. The second night we had a lovely waiter who couldn't do enough to help and who made the evening for us. The food was, as is most Bulgarian food, just warm enough but it was good and the chicken wings in lemon sauce was really very good indeed. The problems we had were a door key that didn't work, a hot water system which was cold because they had failed to turn the tank on, a coffee and tea machine that didn't work when breakfast was being served and a struggle to get more toast than specified with the set breakfast. These however are small things when you consider that the cost per person per night was 35 lev (approx £13.00) for dinner, bed and breakfast.  It was overall a pleasant and successful stay and I fully intend to use this hotel again.

Excellent value for an very reasonable price.

We were with our baby and we had booked a baby bed but it was broken and without mattress that the staff thinks for normal. The room was dirty and very far from good furnished, maybe in the middle 70s. The room also was very dark because only ONE lamp from SIX was OK but we changed the bulbs and unfortunately the darkness was the same. The staff made nothing about our problems. Please do not make our mistake to choose this place.

Terrible

This place is a gem at the middle og Bulgaria; the service is very good and the food is better; the swimming pools are great; yes, I mean "are" since you can find two: one at the ambient temperature inside the hotel and another one with warm water, excellent hotel in this aspect.
