A budget option for two traveling couples.

A great location since very walkable into town and restaurants. The room was located away from the main building. It was basic but comfortable and the bed was very good. Very quiet location. The bathroom left a lot to be desired and needs to be updated hence my drop in the rating. Unless you are under 1.5 meters (5-1/2 feet) tall (I am 1.9 meters(6.3 feet), the bathroom in our suite was not workable. Sitting on the toilet my knees hit the far wall and had to sit on an angle; I was able to fit into the shower and there was plenty of hot water.

Parking is limited on site but street parking is available outside the gate.

The breakfast options were fantastic with more food being brought out from the kitchen during the meal. Grounds near our suite were very well kept.

My experience was horrible.
Breakfast excellent, beautiful place, close to the city center, buuuuut, in our room didn't has hot water, we paid for bathtub, but hot water, even in the shower. And it was in the winter. Terrible!

No hot water in the winter !

The pousada is very nice in terms of decoration and architecture. The room is a bit small and basic like the rest of Posadas in Brazil but decoration is really really different.
Not too close to the centre, but the atmosphere is so nice and the price so sweet that it's not a big deal. Breakfast is standard.

If you are interested in the large rooms with the bathtubes, you´ve better know that they are not situated in the historical building, but above the reception and service area of a newer construction: besides not being so charming, these rooms tend to be rather noisy during early morning and afternoon. The afternoon coffee table might help you survive if you do not want to go out at night after a heavier lunch.

A good choice close to the historical sites

The room was comfortable, the bathroom very clean but rather small and the window opens in the corridor so if the window is open people can see you face and hear you.
There was a fan, a tv and a small fridge in the room.
The breakfast was homemade and the staff very nice.
It's 10 minutes from the center. The streets of the city are not very comfortable to walk on so sneakers are necessary. 
The wi-fi worked very well.
