In a very quiet and pretty location not far from the N39, easy to find and without any road noise. The property is securely gated, so if you were travelling with children, they would not be able to get out of the property. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Dirk and shown around the facilities on the way to our room. The room was spotlessly clean, well furnished and comfortable with an outside terrace which would be lovely in the warmer weather. Lovely bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle and quality towels and toiletries, including toothbrushes. There is a mini-bar, two comfy chairs, slippers are provided and some chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. There is a separate room for the guests to use with couches and free tea and coffee facilities. Gorgeously decorated breakfast room with a great breakfast, including scrambled eggs and bacon, lovely pastries and delicious biscuits and cakes. It is also possible to use the beauty salon and hire bikes to explore the surrounding countryside. Possible improvements would be tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms as when you wake in a morning, it is much nicer to be able to make some straight away. Feather pillows please, the bedding is good quality but we found the pillows uncomfortable. Dressing gowns and tissues would be welcome as would bottled water. A very nice place to stay and we would definitely go back. Very comfortable.
