Appartments Wirrer

This clean, comfortable and well furnished apartment was a five minute walk to work with my Salzburg colleagues, groceries and a variety of restaurants. I felt quite at home from the moment I walked in. A twenty walk to the Evangelische Christuskirche on the Salzach river where I worshiped and another 15 minutes to the Altstadt. I had a unit with a small kitchen (two hotplate stovetop, small fridge and water heater, sink) on the third floor (no elevator). The staff is only occasionally in the office but promptly responded to e-mail requests. They had my key waiting in an electronic lock box when I arrived and were very friendly and helpful when I asked for information on how to use the washing machine on the premises (there is also a nice laundromat a few minutes away). I stayed three weeks and received new towels in the bathroom once per week. An LCD TV with about 10 Austrian/German channels was available. The bed was very generously sized - a bit soft for my taste. Free WiFi was welcome - sufficient for browsing, e-mail and streaming video at mid-resolution (it did drop out and require my logging in more frequently than I'd liked). I will happily stay again
