29 reviewsGreat place to stay - just outside of Obergurgl. Approx 400m from the Hochgurgl gondola via a ski-able track (there is one back if you cut off the last slope 25m before the end. Bus into Obergurgl is free and close by. Excepting the Nedderhutte, everything in Obergurgl seems to be hotel based. We had a great, quiet holiday and stayed in. Food is good with one meat and one veggie option. Theresa was awesome sorting alternative pasta for our veggie 12 year old when she didn’t fancy the menu option! Angern and Dorf Alm are connected by a covered patio, with Dorf being a more traditional build. Meals are in Dorf. Each has its own ski room with heated boot racks. The accommodation is spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. If you want banging apres this probably isn’t the place for you. If you want excellent, peaceful accommodation with friendly owners, staff or and guests, close to the quieter, larger Hochgurgl side (both are linked by gondola and Hochgurgl is amazing for introducing free riding to a 12 year old) then Angern/Dorf are highly recommended!
