This was my first trip to Austria with the family as we are new to skiing. We have only been to Andorra once before last year.
I contacted Tina to ask questions regarding the up and coming trip and immediately I felt at ease with her. We turned up on the day and from the moment we walked in, it was like we had been there 10 times already. 
I cannot express how warm and friendly Tina and René were to myself and my family. Nothing was too much effort for them.
They helped with all aspects of the trip from booking in with the ski school and all local knowledge of the area. The food was absolutely top notch I just wish my children had eaten more.
The room was basically furnished but perfectly ample, clean and tidy with all amenities that you could want. The location is close enough to Filzmoos. Hiring a car is a must but there is talk of them running a shuttle bus soon to the ski area possibly next year.
All in all, I was uncertain about going to a place I had never been before with my young family but I will be certainty going back next year! this is just what I would have wished for.

Uncertain trip to Austria

We stayed in the hotel 4 days. The room was very pleasant, Various dishes were served every day and all of it were delicious. 
The couple who manage the hotel Tina and Rene did its best to give us the feeling that we are part of the family. Rene worked very hard to pull out our car from the snow that was all around the car. He said that it is his duty. Unbelievable!

Excellent stayed

The hotel (B&B) owner of Hotel Zeferer are just wonderful and very friendly. They are married couple from the Netherlands who have lived in abroad for a longtime. We may have communicated in Dutch during our stay but we have exchanged our mails in English and they don't have problem with it. My experience of exchange emails were great as well. They have responded as soon as I had questions and when I had a problem. So I do recommend people to give them a call or send them an email when you have questions.   

My boyfriend, his parents and I stayed at Hotel Zeferer during our car trip to Slovenia from Belgium. It was a 980km trip and we didn't expected that border of Germany to Austria would be terrible (the 9 hours drive became 12 hours). The last check-in time is 8PM so I immediately mailed the hotel and she replied it wasn't a problem which left us at ease since we were very worried if it would have been a problem. Besides hotel owner has been very helpful during our stay since our arrival. When we arrived at hotel, hotel restaurant was already finished with serving dinner. But hotel owner knew about other hotels which served late dinner and she even made a suggestion for making some soup for us if we couldn't get any dinner when we return.  

Before heading off to talk about hotel and breakfast I would like to warn some of people who have allergic dogs. Why? Because they do have lovely golden retriever who is very friendly and well behave! So I didn't had any problem and I really love the fact they had dog :D    

Moving on to breakfast, it is served between 8AM to 10AM and check-out starts from 10:30AM to 11:00AM but early check-out is possible up on request. In Hotel Zeferer has a unique service where your room number is placed on a table with forks, knives, coffee cups and boards were already placed it for you. Some people didn't know the system and just placed themselves randomly (but the only reason why it happened was the hotel owners/receptionist forgot to inform about the system since not all the B&B does that). 
The breakfast is in buffet form (different kind of bread, fruits, jams, cornflakes, etc) and you will be asked if you want any eggs and how you would like it to be cooked. There is coffee machine as well. For those who like to sit outside for your breakfast is also possible since they had tables outside with a nice view of the backyard! It was too cold for us so we stayed inside when we had breakfast.

Inside the hotel was very lovely. It gave me off the Austrian feeling and how furniture and style was very cozy. The double room was carpeted with flat-screen TV, closet with clothes rack and sitting area inside and at balcony as well. We had a nice view of the mountain and the neighborhood. Also there are towels for you to use but if you want to change it daily then there will be additional fee (which is normal in my opinion).  
Only down side we had was there were no connection to the WiFi. It didn't bother us but the booking.com has mentioned that WiFi is available in all areas. Of course, if some of you wants WiFi connections/password then I suggest you to ask the receptionist (we didn't need it but it might be convenient for some people).

In the end due to breathtaking surrounding of nature, we would have loved to stay longer but unfortunately we couldn't stay (since we were heading our way to Slovenia). But the location is not only know for walking trails but for winter sports (skiing and snowboarding). So we would definitely go back there! However, this place is recommended for those who have a (rental) car because if you are not a huge fun of nature then you might be interested to go somewhere, such as Hallstatt, Weissensee or even Millstatt!

Peaceful and ideal location for nature lovers

The host is very warm and comunicative , the place is really clean quiet , the breakfast is excellent , the price is very good for what the place offers, the rooms are big and the bed is really cozy  . Dan B.
