What a wonderful time we had. The house was absolutely stunning and the hosts could not have been any more accommodating. Everything about this beautiful house is 10/10. It was close to everything and there's ample parking. I even got to see a kangaroo while I was sitting out the back enjoying my coffee. Highly recommended.

My trip was actually in 2014 for my brother's wedding. I traveled from the US. My brother and his wife live in Perth

The accommodation was dated and overpriced. No dishwasher. Oversized frying pan. Limited cleaning supplies. One night and they left two tiny sachets of washing up liquid. Hobs on the cooker didn't work. Definitely won't be back. The place was clean but needs a makeover. 

Girls Weekend 

I stayed at The Vines Avenue Guesthouse last night for one night.  I always rate a place on whether I would return, here is a definate NO. 

The lady host was truly lovely, however she needs to learn how to clean. The bedroom was dirty, cobwebs hanging off walls, stuff marks all over. The room needs a good wash down or repaint. Half the tv channels are not available, not sure why as we have "rabbit ears" as an aerial even though there was a fitted wall socket. The bed was lumpy and hard, not to mention the mess in the wardrobe. The"shared" bathroom was filthy. Cracked & chipped floor tiles, mould and muck through out the shower - opening that door is enough to wake the dead.. And to top it off, the shower head needs a soak in CLR as very little water comes out. I gave up on the shower to refresh and clean myself. 
The hall way showed major signs of moisture damage and mould which liked a dose of rising damp. Not to mention the state of the paving court yard area outside - needs a good taking to with the pressure washer. The whole grounds needs a good clean up. Being listed as an executive residence is far from it. 
Over all,not a good way to finish off my daughter's wedding, wish I'd booked into Novotel down the toad, just wanted somewhere a it more quiet & intermit. I never even bothered to say good bye - I was disgusted.

Never again

This place would have been great but it was filthy, there was pubic hair and other stuff through the toilets and bathrooms, the bed linen was old cheap and smelly, there was one shower between 12 of us, the outdoors was a mess (could have been awesome with an outdoor fire), the advertising doesn't say the owners will be upstairs and popping in all the time, the kitchen cupboards and freezer were full of all the owner's stuff, one of the pillows was horrific (brown and stained and the rest of us were too frightened to check). We and all the people we know will never come here again. It could have been great. Such a shame.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

We stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is stunning, the owners are extremely welcoming and friendly, the rooms and facilities are clean and spacious and well presented. It gave you a feeling of being on holiday, yet giving you a homely feeling - exactly what you need when you're traveling! The cooking facilities are fantastic and you can even watch wild kangaroos while eating breakfast! We have been traveling Australia for the last 5 months and we wish all of our accommodation had been as lovely as this place! Thank you for looking after us and making us feel so welcome in your home.

Beautiful house and very welcoming

First time visiting Australia, Perth. 
For our stay we choose guesthouse of Gordon :) He is very charm and positive person. Our therm for rent was two weeks and in that period we received everything what was promised from him! He was so polite to provide his jeep Mercedes, instead taking rent a car and even more - He patiently wait for us at the airport, even our flight late with 2 hours. The house is huge! We was downstairs in one of the rooms with two beds. The room was cleaned and nice, just a small note that has one lamp and during day was a bit dark. Every morning we have eggs form their farm ( they take care about ducks and chickens ) as well nice bread with seeds and several types of jam and honey. The kitchen is perfect if u have time for cooking :))) The yard of the house is quite big and in one of the mornings we had the luck to feed a kangaroos :) Coming from Bratislava, Slovakia for us it was pretty exiting. The house is very close to shopping center - Ellenbrook and actually about 20 min from Perth city town. 
I strongly recommend to everyone, who want to feel safe and calm during stay in Perth.
