We ended up booking last minute when another booking nearby fell through & we are so glad we did. This place is awesome! Nancy is such a great host. The room is beautiful, the garden setting is lovely, the pool was such a treat & we really appreciated all the extra little things that Nancy offered. It is a peaceful little oasis, very comfortable & clean, bed was luxurious. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Breakfast was delicious - thank you Nancy!

Most beautiful ambiance, great facilities, most friendly hosts...   In summary, perfect!

What a gem of place and such a fabulous, relaxing overnight stay. Nancy made us feel so welcome and put us instantly at ease as this was our first B & B experience. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very roomy but very cosy with dual doors to separate the bedroom from the living/lounge area.
The grounds at Ron Day Voo are lush, green and welcoming with quiet areas to sit and watch the wallabies and enjoy a wine at sundown. Didn't have a chance to have a dip in the pool or a hit on the tennis court nor sit around the big fire circle but we'll certainly be back to try them in future.  Breakfast was  a wonderful fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, toast, croissants and scrambled eggs - delish! Must also mention the complimentary chocolates and nibbles provided. So impressed were we that we immediately booked a follow-up stay with a friend. Thanks Nancy. See you again soon.

Fantastic!

Happy, friendly greeting. The hosts make you feel very welcome. Quiet and relaxing. The food is amazing and fresh. Beautiful atmosphere. Beautiful gardens,tennis courts if you feel like playing and a relaxing pool for a swim.  Perfect weekend away.We'll definitely come back.

Kid free night

Our family of four stayed here for eight nights in August. It was the perfect, restful base for day trips to go snorkeling from Cairns, explore the rainforests and check out the Atherton Tablelands. Nancy, the host, made a wonderful and filling breakfast every morning. She arranged for some tours for us and had lots of great recommendations. We were treated like family during our stay. We stayed in the king room and Nancy and her husband Ron set up beds for our kids in the sitting area. We found it spacious enough for all of us. The outdoor table was a perfect spot for breakfast. We used the pool and tennis courts. We saw tons of birds, flying foxes and a pademelon on the grounds.

Quiet, beautiful and great hospitality

The cottage is actually a duplex, two attached units with a communicating door from lounge to lounge which stays closed unless you book both units.  This could be a problem if the neighbours were noisy but we did not have that problem. The King Room was clean and has couches and a TV but only a small fridge which is situated on the floor. There is a microwave also. No kitchen or sink facilities.  
The location is excellent and central to Cairns, Koah, Mareeba and the Atherton Tablelands and of course nearby Kuranda. The cottage is in a pretty garden location. There is a pool and a pretty cat that comes over when you are sitting outside. 
We felt unfortunately that there was a slight lack of privacy whenever we were outside morning or night and this increased over the last few of days of our stay to the point we felt it was somehow was out of line and somewhat unprofessional and invasive, whilst we like to have a chat at times it became too much and detracted from the whole experience.

Charming Central Location 

We stayed here 1 night only for the racing next morning. The owner who was pretty lovely , quite friendly . There were swimming pool right beside a super super beautiful garden with lot of lovely things , and yes, of course flowers s we visited in spring. A cute cat which will try to make friend soon you sit down.. we love everything here. But only if the living area inside the king side room ( what we booked. There are only 2room in this place - 1 king and 1 Queen room ) were bigger , this would be perfect..but who care about watching tv while you can just spending all time in the garden. Will definitely comeback when we visit Kuranda 

Awesome little gardening 

We had both rooms booked as we travelled with another couple. My wife and I got the King room while the second couple got the Queen room. Very little difference except the bed size. Both rooms were tastefully and comfortably decorated and supplied with coffee, tea etc. The property is quiet , the cottage beautiful and the outlook a pleasure. The sound of birds and the Wallabies coming to visit both morning and evening is an added treat. The Nancy breakfasts are tremendous. We will be back Nancy , loved it.

Comfort,Serenity and Beauty

We had a wonderful stay with Nancy & Ron, absolutely nothing is too much trouble, and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. With the fire pit, bbq, tennis court & pool there was something to keep all amused. We definitely will be returning.
