The place is above a pub which you would think "Great". Its not, the toilets are smelly, looks as it has't been cleaned in years. Rooms are small packed with many beds. Its a mess and attracts people who don't mind it so it continues. Tagging all over the walls everywhere imaginable. Showers aren't bad but there's constant water all over the floors. Reminds me of what a drug house might be. The kitchen was so disgusting I only took one step in and left. Not sure if anyone even cooks there. We booked online and they couldn't find the information. They seem to also over book at times. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Its not worth staying, Find somewhere else

Not only is it dirty, unhygienic, smelly, and literally falling apart... but making things even worse there's a DRUG DEALER LIVING IN THE HOSTEL openly discussing business. What a disgusting excuse for a hostel. Avoid avoid avoid...

overall experience was terrible,  the bedroom,  kitchen, resting room was so dirty and smelly.  the bathroom was so small can't even turn my body.  worst part is,  during at night,  someone was drunk and keep shouting the whole night in the room.

Worst experience ever

Terrible terrible terrible. It was a mistake coming here and an awful welcome to Australia. I understand that I am an older traveller but I do not think that being treated like vermin because of it is right. The staff were rude beyond imaging but eventually let me stay for one of the three nights I booked  because it was so late as my flight was delayed. I am sorry they did. I dont tend to review online as it was not possible to do so in my youth and I wanted to try and relive those days a little now I am older and more rotund. Now that I am at the end of my trip I want to share the crazy and the wonderful.

I think the receptionist was drunk or was maybe a guest helping out. Having reception and a bar as the same place felt awkward and unwelcoming like being judged by a group of rude feral children.

Everything was filthy filthy filthy. If my bed had actually had clean linen it must have been washed in sewer water and the floors all over the building were atrocious. The showers...were not used for fear of contracting a disease.

Recommended if you are a cockroach, feral dog or rat.

Third World if youre being kind

Although the pictures online look fine, this place is disgusting. The service is horrible considering the front desk is in the bar downstairs and has one girl working, the bedding is gross and has stains, you have to make your bed yourself, the bunk beds were falling apart and the mattresses were clearly very old. The door to my room also didn't lock all the way and although I was with a group of friends, I didn't feel safe. There were bugs and mice in my room and when I asked the front desk if there was anything they could do, they told me they didn't believe me, even though the other eight people in my room had complained as well. There were holes in the walls and floors and ceilings as the building was literally falling part. The lounge was dirty, the kitchen was very unsanitary and the bathrooms were a disaster. The shower room didn't even have a door on it as well as the bathroom door not closing all the way shut. There is limited showers and toilets and the last time they had been cleaned couldn't have been any time this year. I hate to be so negative but even considering how cheap this place was, it wasn't worth it. I stayed one night and had to leave because it was the worst place i've ever stayed in and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ever.
