We found Lila cafe on our walk down the street and loved it! It was such a cute setting, they instantly welcomed us by running up to say hi and turning on a fan near our seats and some relaxing classical music. The passion yogurt was so refreshing and the salt coffee was delicious. They were so sweet with us when we tried to use the little Vietnamese we knew, and even brought us out a cup of tea!

My friend and I stopped in Li La cafe and had the best experience. Both ladies greeted us with big smiles and made our experience so enjoyable! The salt coffee, yogurt and tea were all amazing! Would highly recommend

Cafe Experience

We stayed at Lila homestay 3 nights and would have loved to stay longer.
The two sisters are so lovely and it seems like they can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They cook breakfast every morning, which is local vietnamese food, made freshly every morning and is very tasty. You get water and tea (we especially recommend the lotus tea) any time you get back to the homestay.
The rooms are very clean and spacious and you get fresh linen every day.
You can get free bikes to go to the city (10 min ride) and the sisters are happy to recommend restaurants or tours.
We had a lovely stay and can highly recommend to stay at Lila homestay when in Hoi An.

The sweetest hosts you will ever meet, it feels like coming home

Lila Homestay really elevated our stay in Hoi An to the next level! Every morning we were provided a home cooked Vietnamese breakfast. We would then borrow their bikes to explore Hoi An, and were given bottles of water every time we left and came back. The homestay is the perfect distance from the Ancient Town and the beach. The rooms were made every day and were very clean. The hosts were so kind and helpful. We really loved our time at Lila Homestay and would highly recommend it above any hotel or other accommodation in Hoi An. We were given big warm hugs when we left and it felt like leaving our second home :(

Home away from home

Wonderful is the only way to describe the lovely ladies that run this perfect little homestay.  From the minute we arrived until when they stood in the road together with the family dog waving us goodbye until we were out of sight we felt totally at home and part of the family.  The room was huge, nothing fancy but all clean and working.  We we given our own free bicycles and everytime we left on a ride or arrived back we were given a bottle of water.  The weather was bad they gave us rain jackets and when we got really wet on a bike ride they came running with towels for us to dry off.  Had yummy Vietnam style breakfast every morning in the kitchen with fruit and coffee. The one afternoon we were invited to join the family to eat crab soup.  Bed linen was changed everyday even after we insisted it was not necessary as the weather was wet and cold.  There are a few restaurants in the area and plenty a short bike ride away.

Go here and you'll most likely experience the same. Custom breakfast times, extensive help with just about everything. You can book tours here (the well organized ones) for lower prices than the tour companies. They don't seem to have any kickbacks, they just want you to have a good time.

They have excellent suggestions for dining, albeit their number 1 suggestions are the fancier Vietnamese restaurants (around $20 per person for a 3-course meal with drinks, though well worth the money).

They will also help you book transfers, train tickets, you name it.

Free bicycles to get to the Old Town as well as a sun hat if you don't have one, and every time you return they bring you a bottle of cold water.

The breakfast is really good too, the hostess' (Quyen) sister (Bang) is a fantastic cook, serving you local specialities which tasted great, as well as a choice of Vietnamese coffee or different kinds of tea.

And the most absurdly kind thing they did: We wanted to book 2 extra nights. Unbeknownst to us, the homestay was to be unavaible for booking for the 5 days after our original 2-day booking, as the hostess went on a short trip (the husband is often away on business, and the other family members don't speak English). She told us it was no problem, made sure her husband could attend the house and left us in his care (the homestay was empty aside for us and not available on Agoda or Booking, as the husband is normally not involved in the homestay business). They did all of this for us, just because we wanted to extend our stay at the last minute. Surely this can't be arranged every time, but if they turn you don't I'm pretty damn sure they've exhausted all their options.

If there was any possibility to rate higher than 5 stars, I'd do it without a moment's notice.


So hospitable you'll feel guilty

Last week we dicided we wanted to Stay in Hoi An for just three days.. then four.. then five. These lovely hosts are the best and kindest people you will ever meet. We went on a sunrise trip, and had to skip breakfast, because we were picked up at 4:30. At 4:30 our hosts gave us breakfast for later. Those little things (there are many more), including a clean bed every day, make this homestay worth your while. The rooms are basic, clean and airconditioned. They really make it feel like home. Besides, the tours they offer, are really good (both pricewise and quality). She makes sure you will not pay too much (tours, busrides, etc).

The kindest hosts you will ever meet

Lila Homestay was a phenomenal place to stay in Hoi An. Great hospitality and very comfortable bed. Stayed in a superior double room and it was better than the photos seen in reviews/website. Clean, comfortable, lots of space - what you need to comfortably relax in this town. Cheap laundry services was a plus. Locals say the area is considered country side but its only a short 10 minute slow bike ride into middle of town. This is great for people seeking a bit of peace and quiet away from the bustling cities where you most likely came from! Danang is only a 30-40 minute drive. Scooters can also be arranged from the hosts. No negatives from me. 10/10 :)

Superb!

We had a great visit at Lila Homestay in Hoi An. We felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. The room was big and very clean with a balcony. The bathroom had continuous hot water which was bliss. The most amazing thing about Lila Homestay is the host. We were cared for like we were a part of the family. For breakfast each morning a new handmade Vietnamese dish was presented. It was the best food we have had in Vietnam. Each day we used the free bikes provided to cycle into town or to the beach. They gave us water each time before we set off for our trip and towels for the beach. We also had snacks and cold water given to us when coming back. Truly a nice touch. They also have a very cute dog Lucky, who loves to have a belly rub. If we ever come back to Hoi An we will def stay here.
