On one lovely Saturday Nights, after few drinks with my friends in this Western Town, it was already passed 0100 in the morning so I decided to find a place to spend the night as it is dangerous to drunk and drive.

The staff on that night was brilliant. He brought me a Lavie Bottle whilst I waited for him to check the available room. I could not remember clearly what was inside the room but the bed is exactly what I need. It was a double bed so quite good for me.

The next day, when I check out, the same staff asked me if the bed was ok. It was great that they have good staff with such good care to their customer. Rate 5 star for this!

Good Budget Guesthouse for quick Overnight sleep

Room was incredibly small, as was the bathroom. So much so that the bed gutted out to the middle of the door. Shower was over the toilet - so had to be hand held. 

Good location, and nice staff - clean bedding.

Highest room of the tallest tower 

The room was ok for just transit overnight sleep. the room is too small. even the bathroom door is unable to lock properly. you even can hear your partner doing business in the toilet. lol. the main reason to stay in this guesthouse is because it is just opposite sinh cafe. The staff is so helpful. be careful in vietnam especially hanoi and ho chi minh. lots of hotel is scam. anh dao guesthouse is much better than hotel at ben thanh area. i still suggest this guesthouse to traveller because the staff is so helpful.

ok for budget.

The location is great but hard to find. I spent more than 5mins to locate the place. Do not have a proper sign with the name, its just a small neon sign above a vietnam travelling agency. In fact need to get inside the travelling agency as it is also the reception. Got the room on last floor and not noisy at all even though have bars around. The room is very small and especially the bathroom which i had problems to move around while showering. Not very clean also and found a condom sachet next to the bed...

Not too bad 

Anh Dao is in a great location and is very cheap. The photos are not very honest though! Our actual room was tiny and bare, with no window. The staff were friendly and helpful, though.

Halfway through our stay, some of our belongings were stolen by dodgy housekeeping staff. This was not the hotel's fault, but was still disappointing. However, Ny Ny (one of the hotel staff) was brilliant and really helpful. She took us to the police station, stayed with us the whole time, and sent us a copy of the crime report for insurance. Ny Ny was very friendly, and saved us a lot of trouble!

I would still recommend a different hotel - there are many in the centre.

Helpful staff, but don't believe the pictures!

small dirty rooms & nosey staff made this stay a "Hell- Trip ". My Wife thought it would be fun to spend a few days at this establishment . However ,  , within 17 minutes of checking in we both decided to check out. Regardless of forfeiting our 2 day payment ( $ 32 ) we could NOT stay in such a FILTHY ,OPPRESSIVE Slum that is  And Dao toilet house .

The Worst place Ive ever had the Misfortune to stay at.

my friend arrived first and they reverted her to Tan 58 Hotel in heavy rain which are totally different from the photos. The excuse is "Same company, same property". My friend refused to check-in because it was not what I booked and they threaten her even she doesn't check-in, they will charge full price on my credit card. (I book through Agoda.com). When I arrived, same thing happened, they reverted me to Tan 58 Hotel and I argue to not being transferred but she managed to persuade me to do so. Arriving there I was so furious as everything not as what I saw from the website - water heater broken, WiFi not working, curtain falling, bed as hard as you can imagine, smells like sewer, leaking water pipe and the worse thing is the ignorance of the front-desk staff. We have to beg Tan 58 Hotel staff to send us back to Anh Dao Guesthouse and give us according to what we booked and they finally agreed. Back to Anh Dao Guesthouse we were soaking wet, cold, exhausted and starving, the front-desk girl gave us the highest room key and we climbed the stairs up with backpacks and disappointed with what we saw, again!! We booked twin beds Deluxe Balcony room for two people but they gave us single bedroom! We have to climb back down and return the keys. But at least Anh Dao Guesthouse is much better than Tan 58 Hotel. With frustration, I argued with the receptionist and she deny all the responsibilities and blame us for late check-in (my friend arrived at 2p.m., I arrived at 5.30p.m.), blame the pouring weather, blame Agoda.com and not even apologize for not fulfilling our booking and yet threaten to charge full price on my credit card. Horrible start of our journey in Vietnam. We returned the key and put on our rain coat and walk across the street and finally settle down just across the street at eco backpackers!! Very nice staff and good accommodation over there!

I do not even want to rate it as 1 star! That's how terrible it is!

As expected in a Pham ngu lao hotel, it is very noisy. you can hear all the music outside the hotel. Hotel also needs a big renovation and cleaning. Receptionist kept us waiting so long to get to our room. Also kept transferring us from one room to another but does not help us with our things. Don't stay here!!
