Phu Thanh Hotel

This is not a classy place but, for the price, it gets a 5 blob rating from me. We had bay view balcony rooms. You could sit out there for ages watching the ceaseless boat activity in the beautiful harbour. The room was large and had air con, a refrigerator and a power socket near the bed to charge my phone. WiFi and internet access were good. The bathroom lets the room down as it’s a wet room with no separation of the shower. I used a spare towel as a foot mat after showering. At reception, I asked for, and was given without hesitation, a spare sheet so that I could have a top and bottom sheet on my bed. I don’t understand what the management’s expectation is. Perhaps it’s usually so warm that people sleep without a top cover. You can have breakfast nearby. We didn’t regret spending an extra few minutes walking to Quiri Pub where we’d also had a truly excellent dinner and cocktails the night before. I could really look forward to staying at Phu Thanh and eating at Quiri again.
