K. Komil Boutique Hotel

We can hardly begin to say enough good things about Komil’s Boutique Hotel in Bukhara. We are sisters and stayed there 6 nights during our recent stay in Bukhara. The hotel is centrally located close to everything, and is made up of several antique homes, connected by a variety of beautiful courtyards. We spent several afternoons just relaxing and reading in one of our favorite shady courtyards - such a peaceful and pleasant way to escape the heat of the afternoon. Our room was in the part of the hotel that was the owner Komil’s actual childhood home. It was built in the 19th century, and the breakfast room alone is worth a stay here! Although the bedrooms have been restored, the breakfast room was left in its magnificent original state. Komil and his wife are at the hotel every day, and you cannot imagine a more welcoming and kind couple; every day they made us feel like honored guests in their home. And the desk staff was, without exception, outstanding - they were so warm and professional and attentive. And the housecleaning team! Every day when we walked into our freshly-cleaned room it was spotless, and actually smelled clean! I’m not sure we have ever stayed in a cleaner hotel! The daily breakfast buffet was generous and delicious with a wide variety of homemade options to choose from. The lobby also has a selection of beers and wines to purchase - all so reasonably priced. We feel so lucky that we chose to stay here - it was truly the best part of Bukhara for us!
