Cabañas Bien al Este

I visited Bien al Este a couple of times, both during high season and low season. It's always charming. The cabanas are fully equipped -kitchen, wifi, grill, tv- and are simple and clean. It's a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the nature and the beach. I find that it's conveniently located a third of a mile from the Viuda beach and a half a mile from the town. Sergio and Susana are delightful people, very welcoming and helpful.

Set of four cabanas operated by a very nice couple (Sergio and Susan).  We had an excellent stay here.   Very well equipped.  Full kitchen, internet (wi-fi) and even TV in the bedroom (although we didn't use it).  Perfect for a couple.  Nice views and a great patio with comfy chairs and a hammock. 

Small negative is indoors there isn't really a living room area, so if it's cooler outside (which isn't uncommon at night) sitting at the table or on the patio chairs inside (or in bed) are your only options.  Only other negative is the mosquitos in the area.  Pick up a mosquito coil at the Supermercado.  Window screens aren't very common in South America.

The cabins are located a 10-15 minute walk to the main centre with restaurants and supermarkets.  It's closer to the nearest beach (Viuda).  Not extremely close but walkable and in a nice quiet area.  Value for money here made it worthwhile for us being a bit further from the centre.

Sergio speaks a little bit of english but is more comfortable speaking spanish.  Best if you can muddle your way through a simple spanish conversation.

Overall really enjoyed our stay.  The weather was excellent and December is a great time to vo.  Avoid the first two weeks of January as most of Brazil is there for holidays I think (they were getting ready for the influx and it was just starting when we were leaving).

Had such a lovely experience here at Bien al Este. The Cabanas are equipped with everything you need for a long stay including your very own parilla.

The wifi is pretty good as well.

Our hosts were wonderful and very accommodating, even giving us a ride to the bus on our way out of town.

The place is approximately 500 m from playa viuda which is a beach that closely resembles sand dunes.

To get to the main area of town (groceries, restaurants) you will have to travel about a KM.

Wonderful Cabanas

Great Cabanas, Great Hosts.

Excellent

A super friendly basic place to stay, with totally friendly owners Susanna and Sergio with their dog (Linda) and cat. Great view. Walking distance to beautiful beach. A very very nice place to stay. We will absolutely come back.
