From getting out of our car when arriving at the valet to our departure, every single thing about our stay at the Marshall House was exceptional. First the look and feel of the hotel is fantastic. I'm a Marriott Rewards member, but for our trip to Savannah, we wanted to feel like we were staying in Savannah, not some corporate hotel that might look the same in the next city. Well appointed and steeped in history, the Marshall House is a perfect choice if that is what you're seeking. The staff is friendly, helpful and really seems to enjoy working at the hotel. Every single person went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. There is also a daily wine and cheese happy hour with historians and musicians which we really enjoyed and added to our trip. And the hotel provides complimentary bottles of water for their guests. This may not seem like much, but having stayed in hotels where grabbing a bottle of water is a $5 charge every time I can't tell you how appreciative I was of this simple detail.
