The weather was cold 55 to75 degrees all week but the heated pool was warm enough to swim,
 The wind was cold getting out and drying off. the grounds are so well kept, the beach was just steps away we loved it !!

Great Family Place to stay

My family of 5 has been visiting and staying at Ocean Jewels Resort for many years now. We are always greeted with a smile from the owner and we love the location and the deal we always get!! We are are already booked for a 2 week stay again next year!!

Another Great Experience

My husband and I stayed April 2019. The view from our room was beautiful. The service from the company...bad!  The keypad to get into our room didn't work and we had to call customer service who tried opening it from her computer and that didn't work. She called the owner and he said the door sticks. So an hour later we got into our room.  We were given 1 key, where the contract I signed said there were 2. Come to find out the 2nd key was to the swim area and to the beach. Then found out the 2nd key should be not existent as the hotel uses key fobs to get into the swim and beach area. Unknown by the owner. The contract said towels and washrags would be provided. There were only 4 washrags for 2 people staying 5 nights.  The tub was a slow drain and we had water to our ankles when taking a shower. The hot water knob on the tub fell off in your hands when turning it.  The door to the balcony had band aids on it so you wouldn't get locked out.  The contract said you must sweep your own floor, strip your own bed and take out your own trash on the last day. I asked for a cash refund for all the issues we had and they offered $100, which is less than 1 day of what I paid.  I took their offer because I didn't want to lose it and asked them to pay 2 days worth as we didn't have a key to get into the swim area for 3 days. They say no as we accepted the $100. Poor ownership and poor business. Nonprofessional. The breakfast restaurant they provide had 3 small families when we entered and the girl working seated us and said we are slammed and didn't know when she would be able to get to us.(so we left and when to IHOP where they were very slammed and served us within minutes. We had an exceptional waitress there!!)

Good view, Poor Service.

Our family visited Ocean Jewels Resort in Oct 2018. We stayed in oceanfront condo #362, which had an awesome view. You could sleep with the patio door open and the screen latched and enjoy listening to the waves. There are 2 pools, which both are super clean, but one was closed while we were there ( I’m thinking it may have just been chlorinated.) It is an older complex, but it was quiet and very relaxing. The beach is EASILY accessible as well. Definitely recommend! 

Beautiful view in quiet, older but cozy, complex

First time staying at the Ocean Jewel and for the price it was very good.  The room was clean and the shower was large and very nice.  It looked like it had been updated recently.  It did get very hot in there though as there was no fan/vent.  We loved that the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom itself - this made it possible for multiple women to shower and do hair/make-up faster.  Room was pretty well appointed.  Some toiletries provided.  We only used the frig in the kitchenette, so I can't speak to anything else.  I should mention that "sleeps 4" may mean while the two fold out beds are open, there may be no room to walk to the bathroom.  Also, you only get one roll of toilet paper and paper towels.  If you run out, you are on your own.  They do sell solo rolls across the street at 7-11.  AC worked well.  The view was excellent from the balcony.  Beach in front of the property was excellent and wasn't crowded.  Pool area was also very nice - adequate chairs/tables.  No beach or pool towels in the room.

The main frustrating thing during our stay was parking.  We had multiple people coming from different states which meant two cars.  I understand, there's limited parking.  Trying to find safe, affordable parking for the additional vehicle was annoying.  It would have been nice if the front desk could have suggested a safe place to park or to have the option to park a second vehicle in the lot (I would have paid for it) if they're not at full capacity during your stay.  There were many spots available.  Even when we came in late from being out at night.  
So. Many. Locks.  I get that it's a safety measure (and I felt super safe), but I physically couldn't carry all the things from the room to the beach without help because I had to stop, put things down, grab the key, unlock and open the gate, pick up the things...repeat at next gate.  Guuhhh!  I can't tell you how many times I forgot the gate key or forgot the door code by the time I got to the room or forgot what I was going to the room for altogether!  If you have to poop you better run because you have to unlock two gates, run up several flights of stairs, punch in a code and hurdle a fold out bed to get to the bathroom!

It got the job done this trip, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Gets The Job Done

The Ocean Jewel has a great central location, you can actually walk to resturants (there is a lovely little breakfast place adjacent to the condo), coffee shops or walk along the beach quite easily from this place.  Not fancy but nice enough and quite cozy. The space is limited though (ideal for one or two). View of ocean is nice from balcony. This building is five stories high and you have the option of walking up the stairs or catching the elevator I stayed on the 5th floor and took the stairs every day except for the first and last day when I had to shuffle my luggage in and out. Please note the elevator is extremely slow so don't panic. I was very impressed that this place was very well stocked with any necessity you would possibly need. There is a stovetop for cooking but no oven. There are also laundry facilities located on the premises. Now for the one thing I was disappointed with...they show pictures on the website of their gym and workout equipment. Unfortunately, when I inquired with management they informed me it was not open due to the fact it was damaged in the most recent hurricane. He made it sound like it was not one of their priorities to resolve in the near future. All in all, I would definitely go back there again, the prices are very reasonable and it was quiet clean facility.
