Great place to stay! Clean, great location and great customer service. Danny was such a great help when checking in. He explained everything and made sure I had everything I needed.  Highly recommended!!! Had a great experience overall. Will book again.

Best in Glenwood AR

We stayed here for two days during our rock hounding trip to Crystal Vista. The owners were very nice. The husband showed us our room before paying to make sure the accommodations were satisfactory. We had been on the road for a week already staying in various hotel chains such as Comfort inn, LaQuinta, and others. On our travels through Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Arkansas we found this privately owned, much cheaper hotel to be comparable to these higher priced hotels. Cleanliness was about the same as was comfort. We will be staying here next year during our annual trip. 

Happy with our stay

Not thoroughly cleaned. You get what you pay for - actually, no, you pay too much for this place. Pay a little more and go someplace cleaner and not disheveled.

The managers were kind. The wife escorted me up to my room to turn on the air conditioner.

Blood stains on mattress. Dead beatles behind chair. Torn sheets.

We checked in. Hot settled in our room. Immediately asked to move, for unknown reason. The owner's wife was at the desk. Only spoke Hindu. Very awkward. Couldn't pay with a CC, only cash. I paid in cash. Wuoted one price, then, she woke us up at 7:30 the next morning, wanting more cash. Then we were told we had to pay more for our Pet, even though they are "pet friendly"? Then, she came back later and accused me of shorting her, when she counted it immediately. We paid for 4 days, $60 per day. We were weakened early every day for her towel delivery and complaints about our furbaby. The room was old, but clean and sort of up to date. I don't recommend this place because of the money issues and pet issues. Not trustworthy. It seemed to be a permanent home for some. Lots of loud talking, yelling and drinking late into the evening. The River Inn is about a mile away. Very nice Motel.

The “decorative” pillows were stained, the towels thred bare, and though most of the room seemed clean this made it feel like it was dirty.  The soap packages were open, it just felt dirty.   The TV didn’t work, it would be on and the “sound would just turn off and on” and no way to change trolls it.   Also there was a language barrier with the owners.  The husband spoke some English but it was hard to get information.   The office had a very strong smoke smell and wasn’t very clean

My friend and I spent one night here as our road trip was about over. Check in was a bit hard with the language barrier. The lady was very nice but the man was a bit forceful. After check in the lady walked up near our room to greet us and had the heater on and the tv on for us, which I thought was very nice! Room was fine and had everything we needed. The towels were a bit worn out but did the job. Not much on the continental breakfast. I just had two cups of coffee. I Would stay again.

Pretty nice place.

This place is nice and comfortable for the price, the husband and wife that run the place are sweet as can be and will do anything to please. We enjoy it being close to the river, and all our favorite restaurants.  We will definitely be back every year

Great

I wish I could give this 4 out 5, but I can't. Check-in didn't go very smoothly because of the language barrier (Reservation? Reservation?, no I just want a room). I asked 4 times what the rate was and the clerk didn't understand and had to ask her husband what I was saying. After I finally checked in, I was escorted to my room and shown how to use the Vingcard to open the door. That was a minor nuisance, plus there was no security chain on the door.
The room was clean, except for the dead roaches behind the microwave and everything else looked OK, including the furniture which was a bit dated, but in halfway decent shape. There was no radio in the room, but there was a small alarm clock. 
The bed was comfortable, though I had to toss a blanket on since the room was cold due to the heater constantly quitting. The heat would turn on, then shut off the moment the room got comfortable, then finally turn back on when the room got too cold. The TV worked perfectly, but who needs 200 stations?
Plenty of hot water in the shower though I was cold drying off due to the heater problem. I also noticed the towels were threadbare and stained.Since there was a Best Western ice bucket in the room, I can only assume the towels were old BW cast offs. 
There was no breakfast, but they seemed to be in a hurry to have me check out (it was 9am, checkout is 11). 
This place has so much potential to be a decent small motel, but it looks like they do the bare minimum to keep it from becoming a dump.

Disappointed

Gave us a discount for staying 3 nights. Clean, pool was not open. Looks like repairs or something happening to it. Would have been nice to take a dip in the water because it was so hot there. Went we first checked on, the air was off and the room was very hot. Took a while to cool it down to a comfortable temp. I'm not sure I would stay there again. But it was one of the only hotels that had vacancies. We were wanting to stay in Mt. Ida but no rooms available there.
