Solo female traveller - felt very safe, welcome and relaxed.Very comfortable bed and modern, clean room/ensuite, newly refurbished and has everything to make a stay very pleasant.  Beautiful views and easy parking.  The staff have been attentive and clearly wanting to make sure my stay is perfect, which it has been.Would highly recommend.

Our trip was great, they were super dog friendly and the attention to details was fabulous. At check out the member of staff remembered what we had said at breakfast the prior day and the little touches were fabulous

The Winyard’s Gap is in a beautiful setting.  The rooms are perfect, clean, fresh and comfortable.  Staff very friendly and give an excellent service.  Food in restaurant is excellent.  Will definitely visit again whether it be to eat or stay.

We only stayed one might but were so pleased with the whole experience we will go again and stay longer. The Owners are very local and only took over in January 2024. The staff are excellent and the food delicious. The room in the annex was well furnished with great taste and very comfortable. It will be a wonderful location in the summer having a huge lawn area with a magnificent view. Good value for money. Room charge only and breakfast extra but you pay for what you get. Full English at £12.50 was excellent and plentiful.

A little gem!

Had heard the Winyard’s Gap had new management  so decided to go for lunch we’d been on numerous previous occasions and never been impressed but what a lovely surprise. The place was transformed very welcoming and the food excellent. We made our choices from the specials board. We shared the Wild Garlic Pesto, Tomato & Mozzarella Tart for starter it was to die for then we both had the Lamb Neck Fillet, Pan Fried New Potatoes, Tender-stem Broccoli, Caramelised Onion, Salsa Verde & Lame Jus. Could have done with a little more Jus but it was lovely. Cooked to our liking on the rear side but for those who like there Lamb a little less pink you should ask, we weren't. We left nothing on the plate it was that good. For dessert my wife had the Cheese cake, stem ginger and I had the Chocolate Ale Cake again empty plates to testify how good it was. Only one member of staff didn't have a smile but she might be having a bad day.

Great News Winyard's Gap a good place to eat.

I spent a few hours in here finishing a book. I arrived about 11 and left mid afternoon. The pub had a warm and inviting atmosphere with a real fire, comfortable furniture, great views and welcoming staff. I had a burger with fries which was super tasty and filling plus a couple of drinks and two decaf coffees which were very good. The staff were attentive and efficient without being intrusive. I didn’t go into the restaurant area but it seemed well patronised. There is a great outdoor seating area with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside which would be great on a dry, sunny day. Highly recommended.

We spent  a night in the studio. The room was well appointed and well presented. We were only there overnight so did not use the kitchenette which has  hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher - so would be good if you wanted to self cater. 
The bard and restaurant is very pleasant too. Our breakfast was good and can recommend the Eggs Benedict. 
This is a dog friendly place with excellent walks in the Dorset countryside
