I stayed here with my son for four nights from Sunday the 30th of July 2023. Based on the pictures when booking online I’d been confused as to which room I’d get and ended up with the deluxe double on the first floor of the main house. I was extremely impressed with the standard of the cleanliness and quality evident in every detail. I’ve stayed at the Chesterfield in London and the Excelsior Ernst in Cologne, both highly rated and I am happy to favorably compare Stapehill Lodge. Truly five-star accommodation for a two- or three-star price point. My experience of Elana was one of kindness and accommodation. She was at once attentive and discrete. The room, including ensuite was cleaned daily and the breakfast table was ready for us at the appointed time each morning to fit around our plans for the day. After a cereal course, orange or apple juice, instant or filter coffee. Toast and jam or marmalade. Elana presented a delicious English breakfast. Just wonderful. I’m so happy I decided against a premier inn or similar. If I’m ever staying down south again I won’t hesitate to return, and book in advance!

Simply wonderful!

I work in the  Bournemouth area every two or three months, and Stapehill Lodge is absolutely perfect, a real home from home!
Elana and her sons are great hosts, and nothing is too much trouble.
Situated on a quiet lane with plenty of parking spaces, Stapehill is a great base to explore the Bournemouth area from.
The bedroom, and indeed the whole property, is spotless. The bed is very comfortable, and the en-suite has a bath and a shower.
Lots of tea & coffee in the room, and fresh milk is provided.
Breakfast has a lot to offer, and my gluten intolerance is well catered for.
The cooked breakfast is delicious and the ingredients are very high quality.
Looking forward to my next visit already!

Home away from home

Outstanding accommodation, location and breakfast. 
Elana and her son looked after us exceptionally well, we felt like family. 
Breakfast was unique each day, with tasty and nutritious foods... assisted when I had a problem with my tooth ~ nothing was too much trouble. Definitely will be returning. 

Exceptional accommodation 

We booked the lodge cabin which is available as well as the b&b for a family holiday.The lodge is a great place to stop,  we used it as a base for our summer 2021 holiday with two older children, 22 and 19 and we had a delightful stay thanks to the lodge itself and its wonderful host, Elana, who brought us wonderful breakfasts everyday. Good job we didn't spot the electric blankets until the last night, otherwise we wouldn't have got out of bed at all. Such a great place to stop and will certainly be looking at visioning again in the future.  If you are looking to book in here sometime, just do it, you won't regret stopping here in a lovely location just a short drive from Poole,  Bournemouth and Christchurch.

Great place to stay 

Our room was warm, clean and comfortable. The double bed and pillows were especially comfy and the en-suite bathroom was spacious and clean. The owner was very friendly and relaxed and left fresh coffee and milk for us, as well as a tasty home-made carrot cake.  We couldn't stay for breakfast as we had to leave early but a packed breakfast was made for us and left by the front door. Fresh fruit, orange juice, granola, yogurts, chocolate brownie, and smoked ham bagels-all packed in little containers and just lovely!  There was plenty of parking and it was quiet all night.  We usually stay in a premier inn when just stopping 1 night, mainly for the beds and to check out early without disturbing people, but Im so glad we decided to stay here instead and would reccommend it on the quality of food, cleanliness and a good night's sleep.

We stayed with Stapehill lodge in a double room. The room was beautifully decorated with the most comfortable double bed and a large ensuite bathroom adjoining. Elena has literally thought of everything when it comes to finishing touches in the room. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed. We were also cooked the most delicious homemade breakfast by Elena in the morning. 
Located a few miles outside Bournemouth but totally worth the extra few minutes to travel to. It was the highlight of our trip to Bournemouth and would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Simply perfect

Oh my, the attention to detail was extraordinary! Elena welcomed us two weekends in a row (great place for travelling on the Poole ferry) and we were impressed with her beautiful and creative presentation of both accommodation and refreshments. Leaving before breakfast, she even packed us a carrier bag of delicious goodies, complete with a little tag saying "safe journey"! Delighted, hope to return.

Exquisite

We booked a double room on line, we arrived early evening on thursday 3 Aug and was shown straight to our room which was light bright and spotlessly clean as was the large ensuite-bathroom which had a corner bath and a walk in shower.
Breakfast the following morning was exquisite, presented with tremendous care and attention. Firstly a tiny bucket of yogurt, a bowl of granola and a bowl of fresh strawberries with hand picked blueberries (probaly from the blueberry farm a few yards up the road). Whilst we were eating this the owner, Elana cooked bacon,
poached eggs served with cherry tomato's and a home made cheese pastry with sliced mushrooms. Finally white and brown toast with marmalde and jam. To drink we had homemade apple&mango juice and individual cafetiers with hot milk.
Fact finding for our next vist we spoke with Elana and discovered there are two bedrooms to let and a log cabin with an 'up stairs' bedroom for little people within the grounds. There is an outside pool and a tennis court.
Stapehill lodge gave us a 5* stay for less money than a budget hotel. Elana should be very proud of the quality of service and attention she provides.
