Just got back from a wonderful 2 nights stay at The Phoenix.
The hosts are wonderful, breakfast really good, room spotlessly clean. Had all the amenities & a very short walk to the open air theatre!
Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Little Gem 💎

First time staying at this guest house.
Had a couple of night away with a friend. 
Paul and David were most welcoming
On first impression when we walked through the main door was how clean it was 
Our cases were carried up to our room.
We stayed in the room that was divided with single beds in, which was ideal for us, both rooms had TVs on the wall, hand basins in each, one had the on suite, which was spotless.  tea and coffee facilities in that one too. 
The rooms were spotless, fluffy towels provided. 
Breakfast was served between 8-9am. We needed to pre order which was fine by us we wanted the full English which was cooked to perfection, tea or coffee, also available was fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereal, and fruit juice, and fresh fruit. 
We will hopefully go next year for our girlie get away.

Lovely Guest House

Paul and David were wonderful hosts, so warm, friendly, extremely personable and informative. Very cosy and comfortable surroundings. My partner and I felt very relaxed and it was just what I needed after recent knee surgery. A lovely Breakfast."

A Brilliant Place To Stay

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here, David and Paul are fantastic hosts, very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are lovely and the beds are so comfortable! Breakfast is included and so very tasty with the best ingredients used! I can't wait to come back again, definitely the best guesthouse in Scarborough, can't recommend it enough!

Best guesthouse in Scarborough

Me and my partner stayed here as part of our weekend away in Scarborough. Like other reviewers say this place is a hidden gem in Scarborough. Soon as we entered we were made feel very welcome by the owners David & Paul. We stayed in the top room which had a comfortable king size bed. Not just the room but the whole place was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was included in the room rate and this was delicious. If you wanted anything extra they didn't hesitate and nothing was too much trouble. Things like having our luggage carried to our room, remembering our names, the quirky honesty box shop go a long way. 

We will definitely return.

Exceptional Place to Stay!

What a great place to stay! A proper home from home. Spotless rooms, tastefully decorated and cleaned and checked on every day.
A tasty breakfast with lots of choices and endless tea, was very enjoyable.
Paul and David are the perfect hosts and go out of their way to make your holiday special.

Scarboroughs' hidden Gem

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Phoenix Guest House.  Paul and David are very welcoming hosts.  My room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.  Delicious breakfast freshly cooked each morning with plenty of choice.  I would recommend this guest house to anyone planning a visit to Scarborough.  It is in a nice location with street parking available (permit provided) and just a ten minute walk to the town centre.

A lovely place to stay

If I could give 10* I would, David and Paul are the best hosts and I could not fault anything on our weekend stay. Our room was lovely with a very comfy king size bed, the bathroom was gorgeous and everywhere is spotless not just our room. The breakfasts are scrummy and the quality of everything on offer is 10/10, I loved the fact that decent sized glasses and cups are provided for morning juice and hot drinks. The location was perfect for our visit to the open air theatre, only 5 minutes away and we much preferred the North bay area to the South bay area. Without a doubt we would absolutely 100% love to stay here again when we next visit Scarborough.

Had an amazing stay at the Phoenix guest house,David & Paul were brilliant,extremely helpful,nothing was too much trouble,always on hand to help,food was cracking ,as was the accommodation,very clean & comfy…during my  stay it was my birthday ,David & Paul made it even more special…even singing happy birthday ,it’s these personal touches that make all the difference….would definitely visit again & also recommend 

An amazing stay 

Great B and B run by warm and welcoming hosts David and Paul. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Not far from the beach and other local attractions. The breakfast caters for all tastes with a good selection and perfectly cooked full English. Can’t fault our stay.
