Drummohr is one of my favourite sites, and easy to get to, just off the A1. The facilities are excellent, its open all year round, and access to Edinburgh and local areas is excellent by train or bus. 
The staff are very friendly, accommodating and always happy to give advice. We have stayed there 3 times now and have always been happy there.

New Year Break

Just back from a long weekend and once again we were not disappointed . This was our second visit and just as before, the facilities were spotless as was the whole site in general. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Great site 

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights for the New Year. We stayed in a double hexi glamping pod, which we found to be very cosy. A double bed, fridge, toaster, kettle, heating, tv, deck chairs and a seating bit. On the website it did say microwave but there wasn’t one. We found the facilities to be fine, toilet not far, just the ladies showers weren’t ready so had to use different ones. Not a problem though. 30 minutes drive to Edinburgh, not far from the bus stop. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you 🤗

New Years Stay

Stayed in the family bothey /basic shed.
Staff were friendly .
Shed poor design. Matreses on floor, no wall hangers for coats or anything for that matter. Only a small frail clothes hanger .No shelves , basic sink with no draining board, Positioning of four mains electrical sockets just above the stainless steel sink a fatality waiting to happen. No hot water at the kitchen sink, there was no mat outside to wiper wet feet.
It did have a toaster and kettle also a small portable conduction hob.but no pots and pans except one aluminium frying pan that is of no use whetsoever as aluminium it will not heat up on an   induction hob.
I guess you could bring your own pots and pans but how many of us have magnetic induction compatible sauce pans.
There are no shelves,hooks or surfaces in the basic bathroom, so you hang your clothes on the floor along with your toiletries I guess.
Showers block showers designd by idiots. The shower curtains hang outside the shower tray flooding the cubicle floor(who of sound mind hangs a bath /shower curtain outside the bath/shower tray)

Family pod/bothy or BASIC SHED with PARKING.

Towed our van up from east Yorkshire and as we're first time van owners it was a old van bless her and she blew her skylight out on the way up, the owners/maintenance team we so good to us with advice and checking in on us offering to help fix the issue. The site is so well laid out and security in and out and around the park is rated highly.
The toilet blocks are beautiful and clean  they even had family rooms with baths in, all extreamly clean and tidy and stocked well with toilet rolls and soaps. The park itself is beautiful and is laid out to small private areas and can see the sea through the trees. Its accommodating with a shop, washing stations, bathing blocks and WiFi. Perfect getaway, regular bus to Edinburgh which info was given at check in and where to go which was extreamly helpful, close to two small towns either way you leave the park. Staff were all very friendly !!! Will come again when either our vans fixed or we've obtained a new one 😄 

Lovely Xmas getaway

We stayed 3 nights , lovely friendly welcome. The new toilet block was fantastic, great power showers and the area lovely and warm with underfloor heating. We use the bus when visiting and they go past the end of the road regularly.We will definitely come again.

Jane Drinkwater

We had a lovely stay staff are so friendly I would highly recommend this campsite . The shower are amazing and clean ,  the bus  26 into Edinburgh was straight forward and easy ,lovely walk to the harbour for fish and chips 

Fantastic campsite 

This was our 2nd stay at drummohr holiday park. Both times we booked to stay in forth lodges. Both lodges were perfect however I think they just hadn't got round to refurbishishing number 12 on our last stay. Wasn't as modern as number 6 however it was still lovely. I dont feel like the cleaning was very thorough this time around tho as we found a train ticket in the drawer from a date in December  and  a book mark with the name Sarah on it on the couch. Nothing major though.
The early check out at 9am is a bit harsh I think considering we have to strip the beds etc before leaving. I did ask for a late check out at time of booking, however I never heard anything back. So I'm not sure if its even an option.

All in all its a lovely place to get away for a few days, and we will rebook to come back again soon.

The little welcome hamper with the prosseco and treats for the kids are a lovely touch too.

Lovely site.

This is my 3rd visit to this lovely well located site, after a 6hr drive from the south it is a perfect stop off to refresh and recharge, the wardens are extremely welcoming and helpful, the cleanliness is excellent and nothing is ever too much trouble, thoroughly recommend and I will be returning, HMY Britannia is also worth a visit.

3rd visit

Just back from 2 night stay in pet friendly lodge. We had booked a bothy but we’re upgraded to lodge due to frozen pipe problems. What a lovely surprise. The lodge was lovely had all you could need and 3 bedrooms. As always wardens and staff very pleasant and helpful. Thanks so much for upgrade we both have 70 birthdays soon so an extra birthday gift of the lodge much appreciated.
