The staff here are very nice and we had a nice welcome.  
The hotel has recently been refurbished but the smell of bad drains were bad in room 29, which we mentioned on the way out.  We had a long day travelling so accepted a small smell that night.  After breakfast , on returning to the room, it was awful.  If we had been staying a couple nights we would have asked to move.  
There's an off site resteraunt in the pub next door where they do dinner and breakfast.  Dinner was basically batter with a tiny sliver of fish , again didn't complain as we were far too tired.  Saw the reviews of breakfast , so had high hopes.   If you like what seems to be deep fried hash brown, overcooked eggs, and black pudding which had a hard topping ( maybe left under the warmer lights ?). then this is the place for you.  Again staff were nice but the food awful.  
If you don't want to climb the stairs ( only 1 flight) go for the premier plus rooms on the ground floor.  
Vending machine didn't work , and the usb beside bed didn't work either.  
This premier inn is a bed only place . No bar , but the pub is next door . Would we return ? Afraid not !

Wouldn't return

An overnight stay to break a journey with my son.   The room was excellent,   we had it made up as a twin so if I'm going to niggle, with the couch in use as a bed we could have done with a second chair, but managed.

The member of staff on reception was very friendly, our room was ground floor as requested. It was spotlessly clean, warm and very quiet.    Lovely bathroom with a large walk in shower.   

On this occasion we didn't use the restaurant next door - we were told about it at check in but there was no trying to sell us a meal package as we have had at other premier inns.

Would definitely use again if we are in the area and thoroughly recommend.   

Excellent short stay

We stayed at this hotel from April 1  to 6th.
WOW. the premier plus room (20) was absolutely fantastic the transformation of the rooms are excellent lovely furnished .walk in shower fab..
The staff  from reception to cleaners are a credit to the company..so friendly helpful and polite..
You can see how proud of the hotel they are..
They look  like a great working team..can't wait to 
Return to this lovely quiet hotel....thank you again to all staff who made our stay so wonderful..

Great stay !!!

Well appointed hotel. Semi rural location. Fresh clean linen, comfy bed and limitless hot water. I think the place has recently been refurbished. Friendly helpful receptionist. 
Meals served at The Roebuck next door which is a chain pub (menu attached)

Enjoyable short stay. Will go again.

Very clean and comfortable, recently refurbished hotel. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The attached eatery is also excellent. This Premier Inn is in a nice quiet location close to local amenities, and not far from the attractions of the area.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made sure our needs were met.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Although we didn't mention it at the time, it would be very useful to have two chairs rather than one.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Stayed for two nights following a University drop off in near by Preston for daughter. Chosen over the city centre options because it has onsite parking which was important due to mobility issues.  It is in a lovely area and nice and quiet. 

The rooms were the largest Premier Inn rooms we've been in. All to the usual high standards, if a little dated compared to some. No air con, but we were expecting that as it is made clear before booking. The bedsides do not have plug sockets which is unusual for a Premier Inn however the staff were very helpful and provided extension leads so we could use CPAP machines. 

Staff were helpful and very friendly throughout. I would stay again, but not book breakfast in pub next door which was absolutely dire and not upto usual Premier Inn standards which is sad.  Not really Premier Inn Fault as the breakfast served in separate pub next door. However, if you are expecting the renowned Premier Inn Breakfast you will be greatly disappointed. Premier Inn staff cancelled and refunded second days breakfast no issues. 

Instead I recommend Planks Kitchen down the road.

Really clean and tidy, helpfully staffing staff at the desk who helped us with local recommendations. Plenty of parking and they were good enough to get us checked in early too. Will be staying there again next time work brings us this way. Thank you

Just what you expect, clean tidy and friendly.

Best avoided due to intolerable heat in the bedroom.  Car park appears to be for tiny cars and was 'full' due to SUVs taking up space; bed needs to be swapped so that sockets are in reach; wifi barely adequate for streaming; meals are served in a pub at the end of the drive

Sweltering!

Stayed over the weekend whilst visiting Blackpool and family. 
Lovely big room clean and everything with needed. Staff are friendly we had some sweets and colouring books left for the children too such a sweet gesture from Jane and the team. 
Breakfast in the Roebuck was taste and the lady was great with the children too.
