It's well situated in the middle of Beeston. The tram and buses are just across the road so very handy for visiting Nottingham City Centre. We were attending a wedding in Long Eaton and it was handy for there too, even though Long Eaton isn't on the tram route. We parked in the car park- plenty of room and went to check in. We were earlier than we had expected but that wasn't a problem. Quick and friendly. The pub was larger than we had expected and has a number of quirky rooms and a beer garden. It also has an impressive range of beers. Sadly we had no time to sample them this time. We went to our room which had an en-suite. It's a budget room and the bed and furniture reflected this. There were not enough sockets for us to charge our phones . The TV was on the blink but we weren't there to watch TV. It's not The Ritz but it served its purpose for us.

Quirky Pub

This hotel is not suitable for a business stay , it’s not suitable for couples or family’s . It reminds me of a really cheap and nasty room you would get in a cheap and nasty holiday resort like kavos , where  you just go to get battered- come to think about it it was probably what was needed to stay here .
I got there late and was greeted by a bar of jakeys  got there quite late in the evening 
Staff friendly enough .
The room smelt awful like mould and damp . The double bed , room was tiny no tables or cupboards . The bed was made but the sheets were not clean , what looked like pubic hair and hair from I assume a women’s head all over the duvet and sheets , the sheets were not laundered or fresh . The cups were not clean and the bathroom was not clean , either a staff member had gone up and taken a  sneaky  nap or they had not bothered to change the sheets  from the previous visit . The shower was a trickle , and there was no soap in the dispenser . 
The lights in the corridor did not work . 
The trams felt like they were going to come crashing into your room like a herd of elephant’s  tramping Down the corridor . 
It’s not worth the 50 pounds , it’s worth 10 pounds a night at a stretch . If the rooms like like this , thank god the kitchen was shut and they did not serve breakfast god knows what that must be like . 
It was a horrible experience and room . Stay in a travel lodge or somewhere else , anywhere but here unless you have no other option .

Simply minging

Each time we go it is consistently good, the food , the service, value for money . The menu caters for everybody vegans veggies and meat eaters. I think the only thing lacking is salad . The pizzas are really tasty and you can tell they are made to order

Lunchtime meal

The rooms are very clean and well-decorated at this public house with rooms right in the heart of the suburb town of Beeston yet they are somewhat compact with nowhere to sit other than on the bed also no tabletop space to place a laptop or the like.

The television was nice and the Wi-Fi was efficient.

The spotlessly clean modern bathroom could have benefited from better water pressure to the shower.

The pub is a real ale enthusiast's heaven and the pizza was truly delicious.

All in all good value for money and I would go back

Sorry, I hate to do it but...
Walls are very thin. No really thin. Creaky metal based beds you can hear through the walls. 
Food. 
Well my burger looked nothing like the picture..but tasted OK.  
Beers were good.. 
You felt the trams go past .. 
NO BREAKFAST OPTION... 
Had to go elsewhere for that. 
Shower cubicle was large, although I'm 6ft and the shower head was not high enough, and the flow was meh to say the least. 
Won't look at returning, even heard the next rooms alarm going off before mine did .. 
Staff were great to be honest though..

A great find for those who want great accommodation, friendly staff, great beer and easy access to Nottingham,  + free parking!

The price belies the quality I received, from  the moment I checked in very early.  Superb!

Great location, Beeston has a number of great pubs and many restaurants,

I will be back, and indeed will be this week!

Great pub with rooms with access to Nottingham

The welcome that I received was friendly and efficient, yet when I was shown the very compact single room, I was disappointed with the room as it was far from that as described on the booking website.

The room provided nowhere to sit other than on the bed, no desk to work from, etc.

The bed was far from comfortable with an old mattress and thin duvet and lacking pillows.

The room need a tidy up in terms of decoration and housekeeping standards were in need of improvement.

The en suite was also compact and difficult to use.

Departure was down a steep set of exterior fire escape stairs which I unfortunately fell down, yet no one was around to assist me.

Overall, a pub with rooms that could be so much better with little effort.

Great value accommodation and food plus amazing ale selection. 

Stayed here this week for 2 nights with work. I would definitely recommend for businesses and people wanting clean and comfy accommodation with added benefit of being a top pub!!! 

Great value and excellent pub.

Nice pub, however disappointing to see no imagination gone into the pizza menu that has quite clearly been stolen from the Chilled Pubs chain (bulls head at Repton, joiners arms etc.). Beer was okay however the place could do with a refurb and a new menu.

Pros 
The room was good value at £65 per night. It was small and basic but contained a double bed with room to walk up both sides and three small drawer units. There was no wardrobe or chest of drawers but there were couple of coat hangers on the door hooks. The bed was comfortable, it was very clean throughout and there was tea and coffee making facilities.  The en-suite was small but perfectly fine and again very clean. Basic shampoo, conditioner etc was provided as well as two towels per person - not big and fluffy but wouldn't expect that for the price.  

I had some concerns about the noise levels but the windows provided decent soundproofing although earplugs were useful for the squeaking of the trams. 

Excellent location in Beeston.  3 minute walk to the high street and a tram stop opposite which went to Queen's Medical Centre. 10 minute car ride to Warhammer World and Broadgate Park and University of Nottingham campus a 20 minute walk away.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Would stay again when visiting daughter at Uni.

Cons
The bedroom door security could be easily improved. The lock worked OK but was a bit loose and I would have preferred a proper deadlock given it was above a pub. I think the door at the top of the pub stairs leading to the bedrooms would have also benefitted from a lock. That said, I didn't feel unsafe. 

The soundproofing between rooms could be better but that's down to the age of the building. I could hear my neighbour talking but luckily that was only short phone call. Not sure that would have been the same if two people were in the room next door.

Good Value, clean and a great option if visiting the Beeston area for just a night or two
