This is a great place by the beach that is never too far from the town centre or other location in Cornwall be it the owl sanctuary , restaurants or even the other beaches such has Watergate bay. The beaches by this hotel are very clean and have amazing hill view and are only 2 minute walk to it that's how close this hotel is to the beach. This hotel offers a great breakfast that has many options to choose from be it a fry up to cereal , toast and fruits or you can have all of this for breakfast! The staff are very friendly and also extremely knowledgeable about the location and even off leaflets of places around the area that you can visit if you are unsure what to do around the local area of Cornwall. This hotel also offers wifi , parking and even includes local information about the area and numbers for restaurants as well,  which is very helpful and a great attention to detail! Overall a great place to stay when visiting Cornwall.

Great place by the beach! Which is by everything when driving!

Stayed 2 nights with friends. Very warm welcome, owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. Accommodation is in a fantastic spot- walking distances to fabulous beaches and about half hour walk to Newquay Town.  Would not hesitate to return.

Great stay

Best friend and I booked for just 3 nights from 9th May.
Had the best welcome from Alec and Jenny, felt at home right away.
We shared a very pretty bedroom with lovely views over Porth Beach.
There were tea facilities in the room, and breakfast was superb, plenty of choice.
From the B and B we didn't need to travel far to visit Watergate Bay, Padstow etc., And Llanhydrock on the return home.
Could not recommend Rolling Waves more highly, only sorry it was only 3 nights!

Our Stay at Rolling Waves

A comfortable, quiet stay in a pretty triple room at Rolling Waves with friendly and helpful hosts, Alec and Jenny. Seaside- themed rooms, delicious breakfasts with plenty of choice, within walking distance of nearby beaches and just round the corner from a bus stop, for those without a car. Value for money, and well worth a visit.

Cosy and quiet stay

We enjoyed another wonderfully relaxing stay with Alec & Jenny. They have everything covid secure with all guests and hosts wearing masks to protect all concerned. Which is very sensible and makes you feel safe in the current circumstances. The view is fantastic and the breakfast is delicious. Rolling waves is spotlessly clean and there is a very high standard of hygiene. It is my happy place when I visit Newquay and I just love staying at Rolling waves. I highly recommend booking here as it’s simply exceptional. Thank you, Alec & Jenny.

Brilliant stay at Covid safe Rolling Waves

We had a brilliant first proper family holiday at the Rolling Waves. 

Our room was lovely, clean and spacious, even with a travel cot for our 1 year old. The ceiling fan was brilliant for keeping our room cool and the black out blinds as well as curtains were great at tricking our little one into an early bed time. The shower was powerful and suited myself and my husband - I like it super hot and he likes it colder. We slept very well on a comfy bed with soft bedding and 2 pillows. 

As we settled down each night we looked forward to breakfast the next morning! There was a large range of options to choose from, and you could choose a few items or just have everything, from fruit and yoghurts to the full English! Jenny cooked the breakfast to perfection, runny egg each time (as I’d asked for fried) and the bacon was phenomenal, the fat was crisped beautifully. Jenny and Alec were very accommodating for our 1 year old. He had such cute plates and cutlery and was very comfy in his high chair. He also really enjoyed his breakfast! The breakfast room was good in that we could talk to other guests if we wanted, but also that our little boy could scream and giggle and be far enough away from other guests so as not to disturb them!  

We parked our car easily in the free car park right outside the hotel, my husband could easily check on his beloved when he missed it. Though we decided not to take the car on our days out, we could have come in and out and it wouldn’t have been a problem. 

The Rolling Waves is a 5 minute walk from Porth Beach which has toilets/cafes/restaurants/everything you might want or a 15 minute pram friendly walk from Newquay. 

All in all we had a fantastic stay at the Rolling Waves.

Wonderful family holiday

Lovely clean accommodation in a beautiful setting. Great communication with owners, letting me know details and giving me a very warm and informative greeting on arrival. Book in time was 4pm, but I had said I would be arriving in Newquay earlier, so I received a text just before 2pm to advise my room was ready. Lovely comfortable bed, and spacious. Coffee and tea making facilities in room and en-suite. Perfect stay, thank you.

Great place to stay 🤩

Stayed for 5 nights in this excellent B/B and were made very welcome by the friendly owners Alec and Jenny. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always on hand to offer advice and suggestions to make sure you had a good holiday.
We had a lovely front sea view room which was spotlessly clean with new fresh towels each day. There is more than adequate car parking off the road and the breakfast is more than you could ask for with lots of choice and very well presented. The location is perfect, overlooking Porth beach with walks either along the cliff top or into Newquay. Everything very Covid secure. We would certainly recommend a stay here when visiting the area, and would definitely return.

Superb accommodation

Had originally booked for June last year as my nephew was getting married but had to rearrange due to COVID. Alec and Jenny were really lovely and flexible with moving the dates and communicated well.
On arrival, Alec came out and checked all was ok. Check-in was easy and the room (family room) was lovely with double and single bed. Beautiful view of the sea from the window. 
Breakfast was one of the best that I have had at a B&B. Huge selection and amazing full english!
Nothing was too much trouble and loved the whole experience and would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect hosts in beautiful location

I stayed at the Rolling Waves Bed and breakfast in Newquay with my grandma. Where they offered a fantastic service and place to stay. They were very helpful and willing to accommodate in every way possible. The breakfast was the best i have ever had in any bed and breakfast. I will be highly recommending them for a fantastic place to stay in Cornwall. Thank you for such a fantastic stay. I will be coming back again in the future to stay again.
