Courtyard by Marriott London City Airport

What was good

The hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance from London City Airport, Excel Center and well connected with public transport to other parts of London, The full English breakfast is fantastic! The room was large, super clean with excellent amenities just it would be better with a window that opens. Spotlessly clean

What was bad

I contacted them to arrange a taxi for me because I had 2 large bags and 2 small ones. While the hotel is only 7 min walk away from the airport, I couldn’t handle that alone, they only gave me a number to call. I had one of the essential items for my business trip delayed by the airline and I informed the hotel to urgently notify me once it’s delivered, they accepted but nobody did. I asked when I checked out of the hotel and it had been delivered 2 days ago. I complained to annul size lady at the reception whose name I didn’t capture and she rudely responded by informing me how she isn’t a front office employee. She even giggled behind my back with a male employee. Thdd we Hotel had reserved a taxi for me the previous night to be picked up at 7:00am, by 7:05 am, the taxi hadn’t come and when I talked to that same lady, she told me to wait because if the taxi had come, I would obviously see it! It was getting too much, I had to up my game and told her to call the taxi immediately because I couldn’t wait until I missed my flight. She did call the taxi but that was just common sense especially at a hotel like Marriott. Overall, that lady and not informing me about picking up my late luggage ( which also had notifications of Very Urgent) ruined my stay!
