I’ll not be “ruskin” back again, the facilities are outdated, the rooms are bare and offer no comfort, the lift is for luggage only as it breaks down regularly so pray you’re not put on the third floor lol, breakfast is lacklustre for the amount you pay per person, very outdated for the modernity of London. However, the staff are helpful and there is wi-fi.

I am so disappointed with this B&B. On top of being super outdated, it doesn't even have what it is essential facilities for a modern city as London! I would not recommend staying here. The only good thing is the location and the staff is nice.

No TV, no Wi-FI, no duvet, just 1 towel each

Tiny room. Bathroom and toilet down the hall and no working lift.
Staff very helpful.
Needs a refurb badly.
Really good location at the side of the British Museum.
Breakfast was fine.
Possible to leave your bag with them to collect later in the day.

It’s ok

Staff has a confrontational attitude and is generally unhelpful (exception made for Joanna who is very friendly); facilities are old, appalling and poor; the level of cleanliness is very low and the comfort is fictional: for instance, the free wifi provided is only available in the lounge and not in the guests' rooms.

In the first place the location is just epic. In the centre of London, it is just amazing. Everything is just a walk away, literally everything London.
With that in mind the price is actually good. 
The bathroom is a shared facility. Keep that in mind. You may be rushing to use it, or encounter a line.
The beds are old, but comfortable enough. Bedding is clean and has no smell not stains.
The service desk is friendly enough, but with the typical in-your-face brash British style. There is no 24 hour desk. They will, however, keep your luggage if you arrive early. 
Breakfast, which is extra, is a nice traditional English and serving staff is friendly and efficient.
All in all not for a long-term or even whole vacation stay, but nice for one or two nights at most.

Epic location, OK stay

My husband and I booked a last minute room (and paid an extremely high price for) in this hotel as we needed something central. 
As soon as we came in the room we regretted our choice as it was boiling hot in there and there was no AC or fan. 
We had the worst sleep of our life’s having to sleep with the window open due to the lack of air in the room (I raised this matter with the reception and was given the smallest fan in the world, which was useless), in a very old mattress with the oldest pillows ever. I would have preferred to sleep on the street that to sleep in this place. On top of it all the property is very ran down (feels like a hostel), very poor cleaning standards, there’s no internet in the room and there’s barely any space to move around, the only chair provided has been used for so long that you cannot even sit on it. Never again. 

Terrible value for money 

Superb location. Parking is a minute away in Bloomsbury Square NCP. It is underground and very secure. Cost is £32 per day but not needed on a Sunday.

We had a family room with shower/WC. Very clean, comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities. welcome from reception was excellent. This hotel is well worth the value

Great value for money

Set your expectation and you won't be disappointed. This isn't your "traditional" hotel where you will want to relax in your room or sit in the bar. It's cheap. More of a B&B than a hotel. And it's tired - the decor and furniture need an update. There was no lift and so heavy bags had to be carried up the stairs. That said, it's a reasonable B&B. Rooms are clean and fairly spacious. We loved our room as it was away from the road and cool because it didn't have the full sun from the day. Breakfast finished at 09:30 which was far too early for us! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cheap and reasonable hotel

Great location, with many parks and restaurants nearby; walking distance to Covent Garden and other good areas, as well as the Underground. Staff were courteous, and rooms were pleasant. We enjoyed our stay!

Calm little place, centrally-located

A nice hotel in a great location. We had a nice room only on the very top floor overlooking the Russel Square gardens. 

Perfect for me and my friend as we needed a place to stay for one night after hitting soho. 

Only downside is the fact we had to share a bathroom & toilet facilities.
