Our host Margaret was everything you could want. Polite, friendly and helpful. Cooked the best breakfast with a lovely choice of things on offer. The guest area is like having your own little apartment. It’s divided from the main part of the bungalow and offers a lovely comfy bedroom looking over a beautiful garden, a really lovely bathroom (with good quality toiletries and lovely thick towels) and a separate lounge where you can sit and relax, watch tv, talk to Alexa etc. There are numerous videos to watch loads of books to read. The lounge has a fridge and fresh coffee machine with a great choice of teas. All the jams are home made. She gave us a beer and a gin and tonic and some nibbles on arrival and even offered to drive us to and from the restaurant we had booked so we didn’t have to drive and could both have a drink. Ask her about the history of New Lanark which is a really interesting place to visit. She has a great knowledge of it. It was just perfect. Thank you Margaret for being the perfect host.
