East Friars

We received a friendly welcome from a delightful couple, who showed a genuine concern, especially regarding my wife's slightly restricted mobility. We had a large room with a comfortable bed with a view across the River Wye. The walk in shower was great. Our hosts were willing to offer whatever sort of breakfast we liked. Most of the food is locally sourced. The bacon is delicious & the home made marmalade out of this world. We appreciated the generous welcome into the family home, which has many of Roger's own art works on display. Through the conservatory / breakfast room is a wonderful terrace garden overlooking the Wye where we were able to relax. We don't have a dog now, but I know dogs are welcome. One of the 2 family dogs has been poorly & I hope she's now on the mend. The house is just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre. There are also riverside walks that can begin outside. Ian
