I seldomly write reviews ... however I do always appreciate the people that do. From this  I have had some lovely overnight stays when  up north when visiting family members.
This weekend we chose to stay here as an alternate to our usual accomodation nearby. What a bad mistake. PLEASE BEWARE. Don't be fooled like us about some of the glowing reviews on here. They must be fake .Further the pictures accompanying this accomodation are very much out of date and are very misleading and are not reflective of what you will find. 

This experience was horrendous and I dont know how the owner has been allowed to get away  with offering such poor levels of service or indeed pass any healh and safety regulations for guest use. 

Finding the entrance to the accomodation is a feat in itself. The bushes and overgrowth is unsightly and very unnerving when arriving at night with no indication that this is the accomodation entrance. Pictures shown on the website  are not comparable. 

We were allocated room 2. On check in no one there to greet us. It was all done by text which we had to chase for on arrival. Room was left ajar with no key ! No key was issued which meant there was no security. When going out for evening we had to take belongings out of the room and put back in car as our door could not be locked.
Further after ringing host countless times on the one  mobile number given  from website , texting and emailing from 6pm through the evening for help the phone just constantly  rang and rang. Unbelievably no contact could be made at all. 

Further this was a cold weekend up north. No heating at all in accomodation was available. Radiators were turned off.
The room smelt damp and the window frame was rotten and noise was substantial from street
Coffee and biscuit offerings were out of date by 2 years !
Towels were so hard they were unuable.
The bathroom is not a bathroom. It is a kiosk. The toilet is on an angle and the saucer of a sink is so tiny it is impractical and unhygenic to use as you have to lean over toilet to use.
The shower sealent was severly  broken as was the sharp plastic plug hole which if trodden on would have caused a severe accident thus  preventing us from using the shower 

Please do not stay here ...i would advise you strongly to take note and book elsewhere. This was not an experience we would want others to suffer. Upon check out the host although i have rang repeatedly since has still not answered or returned any calls. AVOID AVOID AVOID for your safety and security.

Room lovely, however......
No parking nearby until after 6pm
No Wi-Fi in rooms
Where's the bar/ lounge
No food outlets nearby only a pub that didn't serve food on Mondays
Where are the bathrobes
Heating doesn't come on until 5.30pm....really!
Overall a very disappointing stay will not return or recommend 



Not all it seems don't believe everything you read!

I wanted somewhere in the middle of Elland for a family celebration and the Crown House suites were a great choice. The room was well lates out with a double bed seating area, kettle for t & coffee and tv.
The en-suite had a bath with a shower over and wash basis.
A bargain for £45 per night in a lively location.

Ideal

Yesterday we booked a room at Crown House Suites in Halifax, Yasmin welcomed us in a lovely manner and the room was lovely and had  quirky decor which we liked, as we was shown the room the owner mentioned a £50 refundable deposit which wasn't stated on the phone call having spoken to her three times on the phone. In the evening the heating was turned off the room was so cold we tried to contact the owner Yasmin but had no luck during the night the room was incredibly cold which made it hard to get to sleep, we contacted the owner again at around 6.30 in the morning having not sleeped at all, still with no response, when we was due to check out the owner Yasmin spoke to us and said " The heating is not included in the price because the room is cheap" in which we were confused as how can you let out a room and not provide heating, we said we would off payed extra If that was the case and had tried to contact her but she said "She was asleep and dosn't work evenings".  We have travel to many places and have never come across a hotel that doesn't provide heating. Our experience was very disappointing and won't be booking a room here in the near future.

Freezing cold sleepless night

Large comfortable room with all you need for a few days stay. Bring your own breakfast. There is a fridge and microwave. Very good quality mattress and bedding. Thoughtful touches like bath robes - unusual at a budget price. Clean throughout. Friendly host and ease at check in. Plenty warm enough for this softy Southerner! In easy each of Hebden Bridge at half the price. Would def recommend.

Great value 

This is approximately my 10th stay here, and it's my 'go to' place when I travel back from France.  Spotless, great facilities and incredible value for money!  
Not often I leave reviews, but always read them before I book.  There are a couple of bad reviews on here that are laughable.  I've now stayed in every room here, and they are all very clean and tastefully decorated.

Incredible value for money.

I'm here at the moment and honestly can't fault it. 
Yasmin met me on check in to show me the entry, where to park and my room for the night.
I've read some of the negative reviews and I can only speak for myself but this room has cost £30, yes £30. I'm sure you can find other hotels around here but not for £30.
I'm in room 1 and its spotless, great comfy bed, microwave, kettle, tea and coffee, mini fridge, dressing gowns and free wifi.
Yes it's a little difficult to find and yes the set up is a little unconventional but for £30 it's a winner.

Nice Little Place

I booked a deluxe king room and got a small double at best. The bathroom was the size of a cupboard. Check in is at 17:30 and no one there to meet you, just a mobile number attached to the door and then you are given a code to get in. The room smelt of damp and was that bad I couldn't stay and went home. Unfortunately my Mum and I had a cup of tea before we left only to find at the end of the brew the milk must have been seriously out of date. The hot chocolate was nearly 4 years out of date so that is the standard to go by. We both have been sick all week. 
I know for £45 you shouldn't expect much but the reviews have been very misleading. 
I did manage to get £20 of my money refunded which paid for fuel at least.

Awful place

I booked this hotel as it was conveniently located for my 2 days of work in the area and found a little gem I’d happily come back to for a leisure visit as well. Beautifully appointed and furnished room, cosy bedding and super comfy mattress, spotlessly clean and even with a microwave and little fridge...all for an excellent price of £30 for the night. Located in a quiet side street with several eating places in walking distance. I opted for the Indian Restaurant Hanif and can highly recommend it. Thank you Yasmin, your hotel is lovely 😊👍

What a superb little gem of a place

The rooms are delightful and quirky, beautifully decorated and Yasmin, the owner, is lovely. A cupboard in my room held the usual tea/coffee making gear, PLUS a fridge and microwave with plates, cutlery etc if you wanted to eat in your room, although I can't see why you would, other than breakfast. Yasmin has put together a folder with info about the local eateries which look good. As I knew that breakfast wasn't included I had taken something with me as I needed to be out early to attend a meeting, otherwise I'd have tried the recommendations. Fabulously comfy bed and beautiful bed linen. The free WiFi was an unexpected and much appreciated bonus. I highly recommend this accommodation and I have no idea where the people who have posted negative reviews were staying, it certainly doesn't seem to be where I stayed.
