We stayed hear for a gig at Queens Hall.The place is ran by a lovely man named Abe. We were in room 2. Very clean and spacious. Breakfast is lovely and brought to your room. Bus is right outside door into town. You can walk but it’s 30 mins. The only negative we could give this place is that their is no private parking . We had to park on adjacent street. This could be tricky if you were elderly or had mobility issues, as there is no parking outside property. Nice place though with great artwork on walls. Will definitely stay again.

Last minute during the fringe festival

One of the best B and Bs I've stayed in. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hospitality box had plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Great choice of continental breakfast too. There is free parking on the road outside, and also neaarby, and less than a mile from Holyrood and Dynamic Earth. The host was a lovely gentleman, very helpful and friendly, and I'd definitely go back when visiting Edinburgh.

My boyfriend and I travelled up to Edinburgh on his birthday from Oxfordshire. I had messaged ahead to ask that a cake was left in the room for our arrival, and the owner did so without complaint. We were the only guests in the guesthouse for the weekend (I can only assume this was due to Covid), and although we had been told beforehand that breakfast would be continental and supplied to our rooms we were allowed in the dining room and to have a fry-up, which was delicious.

On top of this the guesthouse was very well situated and an easy walk or bus-ride into the centre. Would highly recommend, it is a lovely place to stay and we had a great few days in Edinburgh! It was also great that there is plenty of free prking available around the property.

Very welcoming owner who went above and beyond to give us a great stay

Our entire trip had to be canceled to Scotland because of COVID-19.  So nothing we could do but look to next year for the trip.  EVERYONE of the properties were were to stay at in our tour of Scotland was sympathetic and accommodating except for the Drumorne Guest House in Edinburgh.  They held fast to their policy and charged us the full amount for our stay save $12.  It had such high ratings, which is why we chose them, however when we go to re-book our tour of Scotland, they won't be  on our list of places to stay.

COVID-19 no leeway for cancelation

Stayed here before 10 years ago.. was good then. Clean and well located, hence the repeat visit.
Very friendly owner, super helpful and informative.
Situated directly on the bus root.
Exactly what you need on a weekend city break.

Great re-visit 

Great location only 5 minutes or so bus ride from town. Friendly owner who makes good breakfast. Bit disappointed with the size of our room and the bed being a bit small. Reasonably priced and clean and tidy.

Different Drumorne 

Street parking, no issues. Good breakfast. Great host. No problems, very good guesthouse.

Good stay.

We all had a very positive experience that we'd like to acknowledge and share with other travellers. Rooms are god size and clean, parking is limited but there was plenty of space on the street.Good +++continental breakfast. Bus stop conveniently located nearby, we got on 113 number bus to the city centre which is a 15'/20' ride away. Thanks to the hosts are also very nice. Good value for money.
Would definetely recommend!

VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE

The bed and breakfast is very well situated just a few minutes from the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. The host was very hospitable and the room was cozy and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The breakfast that was provided was delicious! We were able to order eggs and bacon but he also had other hot foods like porridge. They also provided milk, orange juice, water, tea and coffee along with an assortment of fruits, breads  and pastries. My family and I had a great stay!

Only con would be the parking. It is free but it's street parking and it could potentially be tricky to find parking that's close to the guesthouse but it's not a big a deal.
